Powder lot numbers

The local Cabelas just got a train load of powder in; only letting each person pick up 2#/day though. Is the current production of powder consistent? Can remember a few decades ago; one had to work up their loads when changing powder lots. I'm using Retumbo in a 338lm......91.5gr behind 300gr scenars. Would like to pick up where the reloads left off......if possible.

nope, youll have to work a load up for each lot # change. A chrony will help to find the rifle speed it likes.

I noticed a difference when loading for my 260 last year when it was hot out with h4350.
