Cool, thanks. I was about to order one to check. I have a dummy built off a TRG42 mag but didn't know if it would fit an AICS.

Did you have to do any modification to the Mag feed lips or does it feed right as-is? Also, how long is you barrel?

3 out of 4 mags feed fine as is, one of them I had to lightly pinch the lips. Barrel is 24".

The Accu shot mount will not utilize a Harris, it is not long enough.

Hellbender asked me to post some photos of my rifle. I recently switched from a bedded McMillan A5 to a Whiskey III folder for my .308 match gun. I always found chassis systems to be an exercise in compromise until Hellbender let me drive one of his systems. He helped me finish the rifle in Duracoat/Ceracoat and this is this finished product. I'm trilled, and it fits in my old M4 carbine Eagle bag!

I really like this stock. However on their homepage they state that they can't make one for magnum length T3s 'cause AI magazines don't work in that case.

Roedale precision make a chassie that work with magnum AI magazines.... Why not KRG?

The AICS mag is just too long. Yeah there's work arounds like spacers and running short rounds or cutting on the feed ramp/locking lug abutment, but it's not something we're interested in right now.

Notice in the pic that even the follower is too long and it hangs up on the lower edge of the action (upper edge in pic):

Finally. I had asked what kind of stock/chassis this was in a previous thread and it went unanswered. This is an awesome option for my next rifle build. A few questions though, would a Surgeon 591 Repeater drop in or will the chassis need modded? Same question for Jewell trigger.. Thanks!

Can one of these be intletted to work with a T3 that has been set up to run with a Rem style recoil lug? Or is this something my smith with have to do as well?

Finally got the 280ai painted up with some Krylon, looks a lot better in person. Barreled action/scope was already duracoated coyote tan. I hit the stock with Krylon Camo sand which was lighter then the duracoated barreled action. Then Hints of Krylon camo khaki over the whole rifle. Then finished off with some Krylon camo brown...concentrating more on the upper half of the rifle so it goes dark to light from top to bottom. I think it turned out pretty good.

It is DuraCoat, Color is Sako Green....

Obviously this chassis had some Sako inspiration so it is a fitting color. If this rifle ever went operational I would sadly have to cover up its beauty with Krylon

That being said the odds of that happening are 1:1,000,000.

I really want another folder for a sako trg now...

My contribution:

Well I spent most the summer messing with this thing and now I have it just how I want it. Now I need to Cerakote it. I have some idea of what I want to do but can't make up my mind. I really like a woodland camo but I'm not sure if it would look good on this rifle. So I'm thinking of a two-tone. I really like this Tarjac Green I have. Graphite Black will be my main color so I can pretty much use any color I want to match. I also have Tungsten Gray that I like. What do you guys think?
