TS-82™ Xtreme Hi-Def Spotting Scope: a First from Nightforce
    NightforceTS-82 SpottingScope.jpg

Nightforce Optics, Inc, has announced its first-ever spotting scope, the TS-82™ Xtreme Hi-Def™ 20-70x. It is guaranteed to not only meet, but exceed, the quality, resolution, brilliance and fidelity of the most highly respected existing European spotting scopes.
APO fluorite glass, used in only the most advanced optics, provides truer, more brilliant colors. The TS-82™ produces crisp, razor-sharp resolution with no distortion from edge to edge, and vivid, ultra-high-contrast images. An 82mm objective lens and distinctive internal prism design provides maximum light transmission, as opposed to mirrors which absorb critical light rays. The prism design is also easy on the eye, reducing eye fatigue; allowing for extended observing time.
Proprietary Nightforce lens coatings aid in contrast and brightness. A hydrophobic coating also immediately sheds water without leaving residue, and helps repel fingerprints and smudges.
The TS-82™ allows attachment of an iPhone® 4 or 5, allowing high-resolution photos or videos of shooting sessions, wildlife, birds, or any faraway object. Available with either straight or angled design eyepieces, its aluminum body provides ruggedness and thermal stability, and the TS-82™ is thoroughly shock tested and waterproof. An optional wide-angle 30-60x eyepiece is also available.
“Our customers have asked for many years when we would introduce a spotting scope,” said Kyle Brown, Director of Sales and Marketing for Nightforce. “The answer was, ‘at a time when we could produce a spotting scope equivalent in performance and quality to Nightforce riflescopes.’ That time is now.”
The TS-82™ Xtreme Hi-Def™ 20-70x spotting scope has an MSRP of roughly $2,600. For more information, visit www.NightforceOptics.com or call 208.476.9814.

I am looking forward to this. They have always made sure their products were ready to hit the ground running, I am sure this spotter will be no different. I hope they come out with a eye piece with a reticle in it...

Someone hurry up and do a side by side review with a Razor HD Spotter so I'll know if I need to sell mine.

Ya, ya !!! Quality glass and precise/fast ranging in a single device is all we DREAM about. Step by step we are getting closer!

I wonder if a ranging reticle will be available?

It says in the description that an angled eye piece is available.

Thats nice , another NRA/F class spotter , we donot need another target spotter , lots already out there , what is needed is a tac/feild spotter , with lower mag & reticle .

Hard to beat a Mark 4 for that category IMHO.

Took the day off from work to go to the NRA Annual Meetings today. I'm hoping to see one of these there.

I like my NF scopes and all, but what is this going to do (and at $2600) that a Kowa 82 isnt going to get done for a whole lot less $$?

    Couldn't agree more.

I'm sure this thing is nice, but it's form factor is all wrong for field use.

It'll be a tough sell, I think, to convince people to spend as much on a NF as a Swaro. The ATS80 from Swaro is a helluva piece.

Is the NF at least made in USA?

Great just as I have settled on getting a bushnell lmss w/ reticle. I have to look at another piece of glass.

I got to play around with it at the NRA Convention. It's nice and clear but as far as I could tell, there wasn't anything about it that would make me want to give up my Pentax 100 PF.

Now the BEAST, that's another story.

I have used the MK4 mildot spotter , and as long as you get it cheap , ie 2nd hand , then at the price point its OK , I brought a Zeiss Spotter60 , and wish I had brought the Spotter45 instead , the 45 came out a few weeks after me buying the 60 , the 60 is too high on the low end , at 20x its hard to search for tgt etc , the 45 is 15x on the low end , so it would be easier to use than say the 20x , which really needs a red dot or similar smal aiming device on it .
I would just like more choice in the Tac Spotter scope market , hope the new Bushy is nice , hope its a lot better than their little 10x tac monocular , as I have one and think its crap , Opps , not meant to say the truth .
