I have 100 pieces fo Lapua brass that has over 8 reloads on them. I have not full length sized them at all yet, or bumped the shoulders back. I measure them everytime I reload them, and they are still at 1.620 shoulder length. I compared them to my new Lapua brass and they are 1.618. I know my necks are getting longer, but I used a neck trim gauge and it says my max chamber length is 2.058 so I still have a way to go. Rounds chamber with slight tension, but I dont have to force them closed, and bolt lift, and extraction is very smooth. So here are the questions.

Should I FL resize them?
Should I bump the shoulders back?
Should I wait to trim the necks back when I get to max length, or trim them sooner?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

My thoughts:

Should I FL resize them? No, if they chamber with little effort, then they are GTG

Should I bump the shoulders back? No, again your rifle will tell you, and yours is silent on the issue

Should I wait to trim the necks back when I get to max length, or trim them sooner? Max is 2.035", and I don't care how long your chamber neck area is. When enough brass (subjective) grows longer than max, trim them all back to 2.025". The next time you need to trim them, trim and use that brass only one more time and then discard that lot of brass. Trimming is a good indicator of how your brass maybe thinning in critical areas.

Thank you Bob, it all makes sense to me. It never hurts to make sure you are on the right track.
