Ender's Game opens Nov. 1, 2013; trailer premiers May 7.

Fans of Orson Scott Card's Ender series rejoice!

I can't wait til November!!! I got to meet Harrison Ford and Asa Butterfield at Cinemacon a few weeks ago and they seemed happy about how the film was portrayed. We got to see the trailer and your going to love it! Kinda hope they go into Bean's back ground in detail without messing it up.

They've been trying to make this one for some time, but now it's all finally coming together. The vast majority of the VFX work is being done by Digital Domain, who've had a team working on it for close to 2 years. I'm not sure who's supervising the work, as that company has gone through a lot of recent upheaval like the rest of the industry in Los Angeles, but what I hear of the look and feel is positive. Still, it's such a popular book and no doubt everyone's had their own uniquely imaginative view of what it should be that it's going to be really hard to please the fans.

Never read the boks, now in my wishlist on amazon for father's day. Thanks for the heads up, looks like a great read.

The story universe encompasses (at least) 3 different story arcs, with 5 novels in the first one and multiple books in the others. Card is a prolific writer, with some very good works in his portfolio. Been a fan for years (decades?).
