I need a 6 Comp Match FL sizer die made. Called Dave Bruno, he usually has them in stock, said 12-14 weeks from Redding. No one else has one in stock. Any Smiths out there able to help me out? Don't really care about cost.

Whidden is a good bet.

Get one on order and in the meantime, use a standard seater for a 243. Not *ideal* but will work ok. In fact, if you use it carefully, it'll do a fine job.

+1 for CH4D. I have a set for a .408 cheytac and they are nice but you did say you are in need of a set rather quickly and getting a custom set made quickly is not going to happen unless they have a set of what you need already there. I think CH4D is a 3-6 month wait so the original set you ordered from redding may be the soonest you will be able to get them

harroll brothers for me, send em 3 fired casings and they hone it to match your chamber. 80 bucks for a FL die.

What was your lead time? Everyone I have talked to or emailed is 8-10 weeks. That's if they can get a reamer from PTG.

I had mine in 3 days after they received my brass, I was impressed!

just fyi make sure the brass you send them has been shot at least twice and is un-sized right out of the gun.

yes they recommend atleast twice so the brass is conformed to the chamber %100

He had the reamer to build the gun but not the reamer to cut the die?

You use a resize reamer for the die, it's a bit smaller in the body to squeeze past the spring in the case.

OP, have you considered using a bushing type die also, you can swap bushings and combined with neck turning, you can control neck tension very precisely.

hes a farmer so right now is his busy time, when I called he was over a month out but probably worse now.

Just got my 6 Dasher dies from Whidden. They were in stock. You should at least give them a try. The ones they shipped me are damn nice.
