Has anyone tried this combo?? I tried Alliant's site with no results. Pity, I thought it'd be a great powder for the 105-115 bullets.

I have used RL-25 in 243 with the 105/115. Worked well when the temps were on the cool side. On warm days the
instability of the powder raised its ugly head. It was frustrating trying too figure how fast the bullets were going.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Mark

George Gardner from GAP is said to use RL-25 is his 243 WIN with 115 moly DTACS. My buddy used it as we'll with great results. Supposed to be able to get you to 3,000 fps plus. I use H-1000 personally.

My results from my 243AI using R 19, R17 and H414. sorry, never loaded r25.

Cool thanks, would anyone mind sharing loads or starting charges?? I myself wouldn't have the slightest clue where to start. Thx.

Thanks ranger, It even uses the same projectile. ;D {I think Ill go roll a few tonight.}

I used 46gr of RE25 with the 115 DTAC. I got .3 MOA and 3050fps on a cool day but pressure signs like crazy when the ambient temp exceeded 70 degrees. Had to keep loads on ice during matches. 47.3 grains was even tighter groups but had to be cold outside. Ended up breaking an ejector and spring, ruined a lot of Lapua brass. I'm done with Alliant powders.
