My 505 Beamscale is acting strange.

Hey guys I have an RCBS 505 beam scale. Yesterday I set it up and zeroed it and loaded 150 rounds using it to trickle in the final few grains. Left everything as it is for the night and came back the next day and the scales 0 was off by about .2 of a grain. There was nothing in the pan and I didnt move the scales what gives?

Dust/dirt or spider web in the V bearings or in the magnetic vane slot or dust/fly poop on the beam or one end of the pivot bar is rubbing against a V bearing retainer clip.

Make sure the beam counterweight isn't dragging on the uprights. Might want to pull and check some of your loads if you are pushing max.

Thanks guys, looks like i had some dust and lint where the copper danpener plate was travelling up and down.

If its still acting squirrelly look up Scott Parker. He fine tunes the 510 and 10-10 RCBS/Ohaus triple beams to a gnats dick hair of accuracy.
