ELR Shooting Range

Has anyone had any experience with the Bushenll Elite with the Horus reticle? In my shooting community, a lot of guys are running the Elite series but none are using the Horus. I have read good things but wanted to bounce it of the SH community. I am using a Mark 4 with the H-37 and have enjoyed it and am a bit curious about the Bushnell set up.

I have the XRS with H59 Reticle. Some say its too busy but I like it. The 0.05 MIL center dot is nice when you are zoomed in as it allows for a precise aiming point.

I ran a HDMR/59 for a couple years. Great scope, IMO best reticle out there!

They track well but if you want to holdover it's great for that too. I won a long range series the last two years and did so rarely touching a turret and also won a ELR event where I mostly dialed but for the longer distances, past 2000Y, I dialed on 20 mils and held over whatever was necessary. I say this not to brag but to give "some kind of validity" to holding over with Horus reticles.

Thank you very much steve123. I am able to shoot to a mile with a 280 Ackley Improved with an H-37 without dialing. I have heard a lot of good things about the Bushnell Elites with the Horus. I didn't take your testimonial as bragging! I like your choice word of Validity. What type of ELR events are you competing in?

Just the one ELR event that we had last year at the AZPRC.

I shot my 30-375R. It sends 230 Berger hybrids at 2950 fps. The shot I was most enthused about was hitting the farthest plate which was 2356 yards, now I'm bragging, LOL.

The H59 and the TRMR2 look the same in the Bushnell scopes. The glass on the Bushnell is good, they are very well made, and a lot of travel in the tube.

We stock the full line of Bushnell Tactical scopes.
