What's your round count with 308 win. and 155 scenars

Currently at 2400 on GAP bartlein barreled 308. They're right around 2915 fps. Trying to determine how many more I might expect. I don't shoot it too hot or long strings. Anyone ever run a barrel to the end using 155 scenars? I'm thinking it would be less bbl life than when using 175 smks.

I don't know how fast you run your 155scenars. but my factory XCR compact already passed 4000 167gr scenars at 2550 fps + 5000 150gr hornady's at 2700 fps. still shoots 175gr SMK in 0.5MOA.

I would say with that barlein you should get 5k easily

FWIW I toasted a factory TRG 22 barrel at 4650ish. The majority of the loads were 175g SMK at 2600 out of the factory 26". I found at 3000 the throat had not moved. When the accuracy went from sub 1/2moa to over 1/2moa I measured the throat again and found it had grown 0.100" and would not imprint the lands clean on a bullet just a rough smear around the bullet. I shot the barrel but didn't abuse it. So you never know...

I'm just over the 2000 mark with fairly hot loaded 155 grains (A-max, scenars and most recently smks) all running about 2950fps on my factory barrel 700 spsv, if anything it has been getting more accurate of late
