Getting really hard to find 17HMR

Hey all,

Yesterday I did some group tests with my new 17HMR rifle I just bedded and it turns out it prefers the CCI FMJ's that I just cannot seem to find anywhere.

Was to two Walmarts and two gun stores and nobody has any 17, let alone any FMJ.

Why the hell is there no 17 ammo to be had anymore?

Check Gander Mountain online store....we have some instock at the local store along with some high priced CCI SV 22LR.

I know there's some stuff available online. What I meant to say was, I need an already hard to find 20gr FMJ, when there is not even any 17HMR locally. The CCI 20gr FMJ's are the only thing I'm hunting for.

Good luck! I'm having the same problems! I have an FFL and getting this stuff through wholesalers is d*mn near impossible!

Ya'll are funny, in stock and ordered this morning...33 cents a round including shipping cost.
I understand the local retailers don't have it and can't get it like the webstores.
Just have to adapt to the market conditions and deal with the online search.
Ordering on line is worth it for me, as it saves me an hours drive round trip.
I haven't had a problem ordering or with front door delivery since November 2012.
Cost has gone up about 5 cents a round, but since it's my hunting ammo
and I only use a half dozen rounds in a morning of chasing rabbits or squirrels, it's not that big an expense.

I prefer the 20 gr fmj also, but the ballistic tips work fine, as long as you only take head shots,
otherwise all you end up with is meat spray.
