I have a CDI dbm in a manners MCS-T. I've used alpha and aics mags with no issues. No idea on the ruger Mags, I've never seen anyone use them.
+1 on alpha mags.. CDI is good too
The CDI is as good as it gets and Jeff turned my stock around quickly when I had the Tikka T3 done. I recently tried one of the Ruger mags in AICS BM and it does not work. The mag would not sit up high enough to feed reliably. The Ruger mag is made by, IIRC, C Products. I would strongly suggest you forego any other mag except original AICS. While quite a few hear recommend the Alpha they also have their detractors. My personal experience with them did not measure up to original AI magazines.

Ruger steel mags in PTG dbm worked fine. I was under the impression they were rebadged accurate mags. CDI is good stuff, takes AICS, Accurate Mag, Atlas and AW mags. If your receiver isn't set up for AW mags, you won't want those, though.
Manners stocks ship with accurate mags, and Mark at SAC says they are fine. They don't cost enough less than AICS mags to make it worth tracking down one over the other, though.

CDi is good to go. Jeff is local to me, good guy. Great product. Uses AICS mags.
They are not rebadged AICS mags. I tried them in a Manners Mini-Chassis with R700 and in a TC Icon XLR chassis and they did not feed at all.
And you are correct as to cost. The Alpha is virtually the same price as AICS. The advantage, IIRC, was that Alpha mags have more room inside for longer OAL cartridges.

CDI is good to go. Jeff did a great job inletting my stock for his bottom metal.
Hi, There's more than one type of Ruger Gunsite magazine. They made a plastic one originally, and they were very bad. I bought a Scout rifle a few months back and it did come with an Accurate mag. We don't recommend them as they are very inconstant, and vary alot. So we normally Recommend Alpha mags and Genuine AI mags. There isn't enough cost saving in going to a US made copy. The C products are very much a no go, they are just plain bad. The backorder stuff with AI will subside, we got some in and filling backorders and expecting more shortly. Just be patient and get the good stuff, you will be glad you did. Thanks for all the nice words, we do strive to make everyone happy. thanks to all.
Concur with the comment on C Products' Magazines. What a POS.
Another +1 for CDI. Have it on my Remington 700 and FN SPR.

I will say that I have one Ruger branded mag that I bought off the shelf of a local gunstore just because I was surprised to see it. It is identical in every way to an AI mag, except the baseplate has the Ruger logo on it. It cost $50, which is cheaper than I've ever paid for actual AI mags. It's in the rotation with all my other AI mags, and I've never had any trouble out of it. Is this the mag that you all are calling "accurate mag" now?

I have one in my 700. I'd recommend it to any one.
CDI is outstanding! Have the DBM on a REM 700 308 and a WIN MOD 70 300WM. I only use the AICS mags though. I believe Jeff at CDI is still offering a military discount. Give him a try. You wont be disappointed and well worth the money!
Derailing the thread, probably, but didn't Accurate mags become Alpha mags?
Back to the CDI thing. This change saved my T3 Tac in 223 by allowing me to get bullets closer to the lands and find the sweet spot. Besides, AICS 223 mags cost less than Tikka mags.

Alpha Ind is run by Chris Parker, formerly of US Optics.. Him and John III started it a several years back, and it is their own thing. Not its all Chris. Accurate mags is another guy in north east.

Thank you for the info. I will be getting a hold of cdi very soon for a dbm and inlet. Seems like cdi has a pretty good following around here and I like that the man who actually makes this item is involved in the community. Now to just hunt down some mags lol
So I received my cdi dbm today and its already back in my a5. Big +1 to Jeff and Pam at cdi. Their customer service is of quality that i have not seen for some time now. Very quick with reply and answers. Also the dbm is top notch. I will be recommending your company. Thank you again.

Haven't found a mag that was cheaper-enough to justify NOT getting AI or Accurate mags to run in my CDI (installed in a Manners T4). I left the choice up to my builder (JD Thomas of highspeedshootingsystems- formerly a smith at McMillan0 and told him I'd pay for whatever DBM he personally preferred to install and he recommended CDI first then his list of 2nd place finishers. I've had ZERO issues with it, running both 5 and 10 round AI and the occasional Accurate mag.
And the folks at CDI were amazing to do business with, which isn't always the case having to handle things from the other side of the world.

I have 3 CDI BM set ups, they did teh macing work on all 3, very good peeps to deal with, reasonable prices great work.
IMO CDI is offering the most quality and bang for the buck on the market right now. Had a PTG and got rid of it due to mag slop and feeding issues.

cdi probably doesn't need my endorsement but here it is anyway. ordered the dbm a few months ago. been drawing up the unit in my spare time and testing out g-code to inlet it myself on plywood. finally got everything straight this week and did my first stock. it is a short action Grey Bull Precision. everything came out great. I called Jeff several times during the process and he always took the time to return my calls and answer any questions I had. First class guy to deal with.
