Rifle Scopes Kahles scope offset when mounted on ADM Recon

I mounted a Kahles 1-6X scope on a JP SCR-11, using an ADM Recon X mount. All the gear is new, and the ADM mount is oriented correctly on the rail.

At 1X "magnification" the centerline of the scope appears to be approx. 1/4 inch - 1/2 inch left of the axis of the bore. The scope appears aligned with the axis of the bore, just offset.

Is this common with the ADM mount? Shall I just knock back some Navy Rum so it looks aligned correctly?

I'm not sure if I totally understand this right... You're saying the scope's tube is offset in the mount, or the scope's image when aiming through it appears offset? Have you boresighted or zeroed it in on the range yet?

I have heard of and experienced low/high image offset with a 1x scope on a canted base (not recommended), but not a left/right offset.

The scope's image appears offset. The specific picture is the vertical axis of the reticle appears shifted left of the axis of the bore. So far as I can tell, through observation and measuring as finely as I could, the rings of the ADM mount seem centered over the bore and the scope seems centered in the rings. No apparent horizontal cant on either the mount or scope.

I will be taking it out to zero this weekend, but am wondering whether, given the apparent offset, a 100 yard no wind zero will retain its accuracy at, say, 200 yards. Root question is whether this is typical and expected, or should I send it to the manufacturer for repair. All the gear is brand new.

Thanks for any thoughts you may have about it....

Maybe a dumb thought, but does the reticle move in relation to the barrel as you move your head? An example of parallax?

Level your scope, bore sight it and then take a look.

My Vortex 1-6x will do sort of the same thing at 1x if I don't line up behind the rifle.

Apply more rum. That's my advice.

The rum was going to be my fall back position LOL.

Thanks for the suggestions. Not a parallax issue, at least when I am sober. No movement when I am behind the rifle. Zeroing tomorrow, will post an update. First time I have ever seen this problem with a scope. Also happens to be on an AR, so could be a problem specific to the platform.

I'm interested to see what happens in zeroing. It almost sounds like you're saying the erector tube is offset completely, and that's why I was asking if you had bore sighted it yet.

ETA: Try to run a box test if you can too. Incrementally spin that sucker out to 5-10 mils each way to see what happens.

How close are you viewing?

Try looking through it lefty... Does it appear on other side?

Does moving your head closer make make it worse and tilting across stock improve picture?

Or,

Any windage not brought back to center?

Last, try holding your phone/camera directly behind it... Center now?
