I was wondering what the best order is to process brass that includes neck turning. I have once fired lapua brass. My question is should I decap, stainless tumble, size, trim, neck turn then use a vibratory tumbler? That is the best order I can think of but I really have no experience with prepping precision brass. For 5.56 I would usually just size, tumble, trim if necessary and load. Let me know what you think is the best way to process, time is not a factor for me either. Id much rather do it well than fast.

Depending upon your brass, I'd add two steps, after trimming (and chamfering) 1: Polish the inside of your case neck with 0000 steel wool on a bronze or nylon brush turned in your drill motor. 2. You may need to expand the necks with a purpose made mandrel to allow your neck turning mandrel to enter and closely fit the inside of your case necks. K&M sells them for about $17. That gets you a uniform inside diameter which leads to a uniform outside diameter after turning.
