Canjar Triggers

Canjar.jpg

The people that I know that want an original Canjar usually have to to gunbroker and find a rifle that already has one on it. Can be expensive, but if you want the real thing your'e kind of limited to that.

I have a Canjar on a Ruger M77 22-250. About 6-8 oz. Unbelievably smooth. Best trigger I ever had. Bought in in 1978. Gun is toast now but trigger is priceless. IIRC, cost about $135 back then. Can't say I'd buy a rifle just to get one, but maybe.... Good luck.

I've never seen one on ebay, but I don't look that often. If you do see one, on any site, snatch it up quick.

Yeah, they made a good trigger. Years ago I put together a rifle with and AIII Sako action, early B&C stock cross bolted and glassed, Swaro 4-12x56 steel bodied scope and a Canjar single set trigger. It was pretty state of art at the time. Everything else has advanced but the trigger is still the best I have found. I guess flee-bay is the answer.

BTW, the Sako is still the go-to meat gun.

Oooohhhhh how sweet the Canjar is!!! Shot them on the Anschutz and Win. 52-D's set at 4 ounces for standing. Damned near shot off my toe one day. Would LOVE to have one on my Rem. 700.

Trigger pull in the ounces! I bought a vintage 40x rimfire that came with a Canjar set trigger installed. The trigger was set so light that actuating the safety fired the weapon. At a reasonable pull weight, it is a nice trigger. I really like the wide trigger shoe, crisp clean break, and minimal overtravel.
