Ok, so im gonna preface this post by saying yes I saw this and it's kinda cheesy. But that said it had a feeling of authenticity, I would be curious to hear if any real operator guys have seen this and what they think, or not, tis all good.

It's about a CIA guy and some SF dudes versus the occult in Afghanistan. This was from one of the directors of the Blair Witch Project. I thought it was kinda fun.

I did read that one of the actors in the film was actually SF and got busted trying to get weapons out of an armory that were to be used in the production of the film. Like everything you read on the internet the BS radar should go up so not sure if it's true??? Anyhow had fun.

Available on Netflix.

What a combo! Quick! Someone get the chaplain on the Harris to bless our ammo. Not you, junior commo dude! I need you to figure out how to adjust the wavelength of our NODs so that we can see the bastards!

Sorry, couldn't help it, M ;)

I've seen it. It is a bit out there but I found it entertaining for what it was; I think it had potential to be better. There were 2 SF guys involved with the film although I don't know either personally. Don't know about the armory issue. It's a good Netflix movie to watch.

Freaking turkey! :) So you have seen it!

I left out the fact that the CIA guy is played by Bill Murray.

I actually waited for almost 2 years for this movie to be released here in the US format DVD. Huge disappointment when I finally did see it.

Yeah, if you wait for any movie for that long it's gonna let you down. Not to be an ass about it :)

Yea man, lesson learned lol. By the way, if anyone wants the DVD version of this, I'd be happy to mail it out to someone free of charge. If you act within the next 10 years, I might throw in the equally worthless Apollo 18 Blu-Ray at no extra cost.

What the hell?????? That is an absolutely brilliant concept! I'm gonna go out on a limb here, though, and guess that this movie just plain sucks. But I will remember this, and will, at some point in the future when no one will remember this crappy film, shamelessly rip it off. Dogtown, I'll be PM'ing you in about 20 years. You should have your own studio by then, right?

Hardly, I'm coming to the end of my movie career and am actively looking to pop smoke, even though I'm technically at the top of my game. I'm getting old and my priorities are shifting and without the passion I used to have for my craft it gets harder and harder to crunch through those months of 7 day weeks on often crappy movies. Thankfully my time in Iraq reset my GI Bill so I still have that as an option. I hear it'll pay for a good gunsmith school ;)

Well fine then. I'll just have to get Harvey Weinstein to fund my movie ;)

Hey dude, there is always telemetry and viz for Raytheon or NASA..etc, pays the bills :) Trust me after you have a kid the Hollywood VFX thing gets even harder to pursue. Plus I know the earthquakes in NZ can get a little annoying, stay safe.

Just a thought.

Earthquakes are no big deal when you grow up in CA. They just remind me of home.
