Its in here some where but I did not find it. I am having a 100 and 200 yard prone match and was wondering what ammo you have found to be accurate at 200. I've tried Rem. golden bullet, CCI Blazer, CCI SV and Wolf Match Target. What works for you? I'm shooting an H&R Model 12. Thanks

I saw a Model 12 shoot a near-MOA group at 200 Sunday... only group the guy shot with it that day too.... was using Center-X

SK Jagd Standard plus & Lapua Center X are good choices, but honestly 100yd and 200yd performance it going to depend on specific lot#. I presently have four different lot#s of SK and all perform differently at 100yds and 200yds dependent on the rifle. That is the nature of rimfire. :)

I've gone to 125 consistently with Wolf Match and a 455 VPT. Best 125y group was .660 but average was an inch.

What is the match having you shoot at at those distances? If it's like a 3 inch plate or something I think I'd be pretty confidant.

Haven't tried 200 with it but I do not see where it wouldn't be just as good.

Lapua Center-X or Midas + works great for me out of my CZ455 VPT
Let me add that it will,if I do my part, hold about 1.5" at 200 with the Lapua ammo. Don't have pics of it but I do have a witness.

The best answer for me has been to try out several different rounds, then when you find one that works buy as much of that particular lot as possible. My CZ455PT has taken more experimentation to find the best load than any centerfire I own. And I've never had more fun and spent less money doing it. So buy a bit of the above recommendations and start experimenting. For the rounds that don't work as well just use those for practice.

The biggest key is to use subsonic ammo. You will not have the sonic-->subsonic destabilization at 125yds with subsonic ammo.

So far, Wolf Match Target seems to work the best for me, but I'm still experimenting with various ammo.

I found out that at various distances such as 50,100,150, and 200 yds. my rifle liked certain ammo better. So what I shoot at 50 is not what I shoot at 200. As everyone has stated about subsonic ammo being the most accurate well its true, except in my rifle. My rifle at 230 yards likes Fioochi high velocity rounds. This bullets gave me the most consistent hits at 230 yds. I was able to hit clay targets 8 out of 10 times, using a 10/22 ruger with a tactical solutions barrel. I would even hit the fragments of the targets at that distance. So I would recommend you get several brands of bullets and find out which ammo your rifle shoots the best group at 200 yds.
