I can't make up my mind between not only these two scopes but also on whether I like the Swaro with the ballistic turret or ballistic reticle. This will be used on a .300 win mag and mostly for whitetail deer hunting out of deer stands here in the states as well as Alberta. However, I'd like to think that I will also be going on a few elk hunts as well as a few hunts in Alaska. I am not too concerned with illumination. Thanks!

The z6 hd is optically sensational, if you are hunting only it is near unbeatable, for long range you may find the premier better for dialing, but the bt an 300 win will work well

I have both ballistic turret and ballistic reticle Swaro's. I prefer the turret as opposed to trying to focus on which dot or line to aim with in the reticle. Other things to consider are if you like Swarovski's ballistic app (I downloaded it to my iPhone and iPad), and if you want a FFP scope (Premier) or a SFP scope (Swarovski).

I really like having illumination as an option, the center of the Swaro reticle is very fine and I can pick up the dot very easily against a dark background or for a quick shot

I run swaro's with the brx and brh reticles on my hunting rigs. The thicker (brh I think) is maybe a bit better for hunting when the light is dim because of the thicker lines but the the brh is nice at the range for load work. I've never used your other choice to compare but I love the Swarovski reticles for hunting and I never worry about having where the turret currently set for. I zero my 300 wsm at 100 and can get out to 700 yards with the bottom hash mark which is 4.5 mils, the top of the bottom post is 5.5 mils if you want use that as well. They look good on a hunting rifle too being a one inch tube and its nice to be able to turn it down to 3.5 power for close up shots. I had mine beside a 20 power leupold and there really is no comparison. Go Swarovski, you'll be glad you did
