I am changing from Remington to Lapua 260Rem brass. For those that have done this, how much should i drop my loads of H4350 by?

Cheers, Chris

Haven't made that exact switch, but going from Remington to Lake City I have to drop 1.4gr to maintain identical velocity.

I would drop your current load 3-5% and work up. I'd don't specifically know the case capacity difference between Lapua and Remington brass... So, it's best not find out the hard way. ;)

You can weigh the cases (preferably both new or clean) use the difference as a percentage and subtract it from you current charge plus 1 grain for safety margin and work up.

Example, Case 1=175gr and case 2=168gr, 168/175= 96%. Say your current charge is 43gr, multiply that by .96 and you get about 41gr. Subtract 1gr and work up.

Thanks everyone. Will drop a couple grains and work up. Cheers, Chris

Your mileage may vary but I went down 1/2 a grain with h4350 to get to the same velocity. This was with berger 140 hybrids.
