260 rem brass to Lapua

I am changing from Remington to Lapua 260Rem brass. For those that have done this, how much should i drop my loads of H4350 by?

Haven't made that exact switch, but going from Remington to Lake City I have to drop 1.4gr to maintain identical velocity.

I would drop your current load 3-5% and work up. I'd don't specifically know the case capacity difference between Lapua and Remington brass... So, it's best not find out the hard way.

You can weigh the cases (preferably both new or clean) use the difference as a percentage and subtract it from you current charge plus 1 grain for safety margin and work up.

Example, Case 1=175gr and case 2=168gr, 168/175= 96%. Say your current charge is 43gr, multiply that by .96 and you get about 41gr. Subtract 1gr and work up.

I use vv n16o but my lapua vs remingon load was 1.1 grains less. yes I worked it back up.

Your mileage may vary but I went down 1/2 a grain with h4350 to get to the same velocity. This was with berger 140 hybrids.
