I've been reading some stuff on there website, just curious to know if there are any owners/operators out there can can comment first hand?
How do they compare to LaRue and ADM? Thanks

Mildot: check about half-way down the page on the Larue vs American Defense thread. Alamo is mentioned there. Trying to put link here:http://www.snipershide.com/shooting.../204002-larue-vs-american-defense-mounts.html

I've been looking at their DLOC for about a week now and I'm probably going to make the switch. They grab a LOT of rail and the attachment is genius in my opinion. Lowlight refers to them in that thread in good company. Hope this helps some. I've been watching the thread hoping for more intel as well. Lol.

Yea thanks for the "heads up" I read that little "blurb" as well, not much was said though, I know that Kyle Lamb uses them? or at least he did, he pictured on there website?
Cheers

Thanks, one question I have is that is it "enough" to just "hand" tighten the mount? or do you torque it to a specific inch pd?

I had the same question..! I'm told hand-tight does it. That's the genius of their design in my opinion. The way I'm seeing it: With the spring action, it's locked on your rail as is. When you tighten down the cap, the spring is collapsed and the mount has no way to loosen without the cap being opened back up. When I realized what they did, I did the ole "why didn't I think of that". That 2nd link (Got DLOC?) mentions a 1/2" bolt option instead but I haven't seen that anywhere else yet. I'm actually going to call Alamo tomorrow. I'll let you know.

Well if I don't end up being happy with my Leupold IMS mount, I may give these guys a whirl? I wonder if they offer a LE/MIL discount?

They do offer a 10% discount for MIL/LE. After talking to Mark at Alamo this morning, I'm definitely going to give them a try. DLOC34 here I come. Lol.

Thanks, if possible can you follow up on the final attachment and tightening? maybe pass along a link to Mark in case I decide to "pull the trigger?
I'll drop them an email and see what's up? Cheers

Years back there was a group buy for his level system. Well after 6 months we never got them. He never answered emails or calls. I reached out to a fellow LE in the area what solved the problem. I would never give him business again. He may make great products but his customer service sucks.

Hmmm good to know, I sent him an email today and got a resposne back several minutes later, maybe he's got himself "sorted out" ?

Sorry for the delay, OCONUS....

I use and abuse them. I have had no issues and will never buy another larue. Buy one and you will see why. MUCH more contact area and twice the picatinny cross bolts for an extreme tight and strong fit.

Call (I called the # on their site) and speak to them about torque specs for tightening. Basically, you aren't gonna hurt them the traditional inch pounds torque way. Great conversation. I'm ordering ASAP.

Be safe.

I had a long chat with Mark the owner yesterday after an LE buddy of mine was raving about them.
I have one coming...

FYI, Trijicon has been testing them and are looking at switching to them.
Supposedly their RTZ outperformed all others with ADM coming in 2nd (I like ADM and use them a lot)

Mildot: Mine was ordered Friday. Hope to see it today. Will advise.

Did you get it? I ordered one on Sunday and didn't receive a shipping confirmation, just the purchase order. Hope to get it soon.

My experience has been the same as some mentioned above when dealing direct with A4S. I got the run around and had a less than ideal experience as a customer. I would never order anything off of their website again, too much hassle. However, I was able to find a dealer who had the item I wanted in stock and was able to purchase it and have it in hand in a few days. The products are very well made, their customer satisfaction/service is like pulling teeth.

Matter of fact, I am still waiting to be "notified" when the item I placed an order for about 6 months ago is back in stock. Zero emails/updates from them to date. So my advice is ,if you decide to buy a A4S product, don't do it through their website, find a dealer and make the purchase. Great product, shitty service.

Wish I knew that. Looks like a few companies have what I want in stock. I'll try to cancel with A4S and order from a retailer.

SeaBassHWD: I would just email them at [email protected] and ask - or call. They didn't email me a confirmation email or anything like that when I ordered last week (Friday). I had spoken to them that day to confirm my Internet order though. They said that it should go out the same day. I emailed this morning to confirm shipment and he emailed me back immediately with a tracking # and the news that it was scheduled for delivery today. It arrived as advertised and on time. Hopefully you'll get it tomorrow. I just don't think their site or system is set up to send auto emails with confirmations, etc. My entire experience with them has been very good.

Thanks, Jason. I emailed him and got a tracking # right away! Sounds like their CS is getting much better than previously reported.

My DLOC M4X should be here tomorrow.

Any follow up on the performance of the mount? overall satisfaction? Cheers

Very satisfied. Mine has held up well with no issues. I love it. Genius design imho.

Dear Alamo,

We need a DLOC that will fit the T-PAL box on a USO MR-10. :)
