Every now and then, you get truly impressed by a level of customer service. I recently aquired a POF P308, 20 inch barrel for duty use as a LE precision rifle. One of my co-workers has a Nightforce NXS 3.5-15x50 on his GAP bolt gun and I have had the opportunity to use it on several occasions. I was interested in one for my POF, so I contacted Nightforces' LE division.

I emailed Todd Litt, the Nightforce MIL-GOV-LE Business Develpment Manager and recieved a response, literally within minutes. Over the next few hours, he took the time to question the weapon platform, mounting options, etc. and made several recommedations. Two business days later, I just received an unsolicited follow up regarding order shipping time and requesting me to look over the order to make sure they had everything right. He even offered to attempt to rush the order as I have a training opportunity at the end of next month. This is for one scope, not a significant order, but it was treated like one.

I'm not shy about spending money on good equipment and have been very pleased by some companies and incredibly disappointed by just a few. Nightforce (Todd) has been great and for LE/Military they have one of the easiest direct purchase programs I've encountered.

Now I'm just chomping at the bit to get the gear in, on, and see what the POF can do with quality optics.

I agree that NightForce CS is top notch. I had a they took care of me and had the optic back in my hands within a week. If you haven't owned a NightForce before, congrats on the new purchase. You're gonna love it.

has been great and for LE/Military .

yes.. but if your not LE/Mil, you get tossed to the back of the buss..

my shooting partner sent in a NXS for repair.. not tracking right...

1st.. over the phone they are telling him they doubt its the scope, it must be the gun or something else..
2nd after its sent in, they tell him it will sit on a shelf for a month before they will even look at it... he said that was ridiculous.. that asked if he was LE/Military, he said no.. they said, well thats they way it is..
3rd.. when they finally did get around to checking it, the tracking was off, it was not RTZ..

it took 3 months before he got it back... this blew his summer shooting...

My first Nightforce and my first POF. I put a Burris XTR on it that I had, but it would not hold zero (you could actually watch the elevation turret move 1-2 quarter moa with each shot). The gun deserved a better scope anyway, when the scope would hold the rifle was literally stacking rounds at 100 yards.

Headed to Rayners Range in Blue Rock Ohio next month, it's a great place to stretch the POF's legs. Just need the glass to get here...

I'm not MIL/LEO and they took care of my issue much faster than expected.

NF customer service ROCKS!
Last April I sent an NXS 8.5-32X56 into NF to have an MOAR and HS, ZS turrets installed. When I got it back after only four weeks, I was delighted because of the fast turn around time. But when I examined the scope and invoice, I saw that they had only installed the MOAR and not the HS, ZS turrets. After a phone call to Bill in customer service, he said to send it back on their dime because it was their mistake, and he would have it back to me in a week. A few days later, I received a phone call from Bill saying that they had scratched the tube trying to install the HS, ZS turrets and rather than trying to have a new tube installed, they would send me a new scope. This is just one of the reasons I own 5 NF scopes. When I go to their booth at the SHOT Show, I will tell them how happy I am with NF scopes and their customer service.
