I'm about to dive in to the world of cans. I have found a distributer with a the 338 can in stock for $1699.00. I'm thinking this is a good buy. I figure someone where will set me strait on that one. The catch is I need to get another brake for my AI AW. The one the can comes with is 5/8-24. which is fine it will go on my 700 .308. other than the form 3 to get it to my SOT, and me doing the form 4 is there anything else I need to do? Im still debating the trust concept, given I'm in a unique living situation this may make things difficult. Active duty military living at an RV park. laugh all you want, but I'm saving huge chunks of money because of this. I appreciate the wealth of knowledge here, and I see my home state has recently changed the laws so you can now hunt with a can.

FYI There is a group buy going on right now that will get you the TBAC a lot cheaper than that.

I see this on their website, but I have no dealers in my area who deal with Thunderbeast. I'm curious as to how much cheaper? it seems the going rate is much higher, closer to 1800. I currently live in the El Paso Texas area. thanks for the fast reply also.

Thanks for the info, I was able to get in on the group buy. Looks like I'm entering the world of suppression. And as for the deep end, I figure go big or go home right? That or attest I'll have to learn to stay above water. Or if something is worth doing, it's worth overdoing.

It def will be easier justifying a 223, then 22rf, then 9mm, then 30cal... :)

Except that I have a .338 lapua, and several .308 rifles. I only have one AR-15, and a 10-22, which is a low priority to suppress. so its easier for me to justify buying a 338 can that I can use on several rifles vise a 223 can, that I can only use on 2 rifles at best. so yes the deep end is much easier, and much more fun :)

I own 4 cans (as above) and EASILY the most enjoyable one is my 22rf YHM Mite ( I got it for $80 new in trade)

Chop that 10/22 down (with the appropriate paperwork, of course) and get a 22. You won't regret it.

Anywho, I'm building a 338 Norma Mag, and you thread is of interest to me. Once the gun fund replenishes itself, I can see a TBAC in my future.
