Local shop had cfe223 8lb in stock so I bought it. Label states its good for multiple cartridges. Anyone have any experience with it?

I get more accuracy out of it than TAC and Varget for .223. Hope it works for you cuz thats a lot of powder for a first try.

Works well in the 308, especially with 168s.

If it doesn't work for you I'm sure you will have no problems liquidating it

I think this years Hogdon loading magazine had an article dedicated to CFE223, they show it good for 27 different calibers. If you want I could try to scan the article and email it to ya.

I've been shooting 168 SMKs 175s are more difficult to find. I'm sure it will work out for something. Thanks for the info....

CFE223 is good stuff - I have run it with 168/175s in 308 and 55/77s in 223. Meters well, produces good velocity, and accurate too. What more do you want in a powder? Oh right, BEING ABLE TO ACTUALLY BUY IT!

I was Leary to buy it, now I'm glad i did.

I have used it in 52-62 grain 223, 75 grain 243, 147-155 grain 308 and will continue trying more in the months to come. I have had good luck with it, and probably lean on it most for 223 and light 308 loads.

I don't often buy CFE223, but when I do, I buy in bulk:
