Nightforce F1 - $2500 (eurooptic.com)

Us Optic ER-25 - $2850 (usoptic.com)
Schmidt & Bender PM2 - $3500 (eurooptic.com)
Steiner 5-25X - $3000 (eurooptic.com)
Premier Heritage Tac 5-25X - $3500 (eurooptic.com)

Hensoldt 4-16X - $3660 (eurooptic.com)

From what I have gathered these are about the best variable power first focal plane scopes on the market (mil reticle/mil turrets). As I see here doing my research the Nightforce is the least pricy scope...and the Hensoldt is the priciest... Where as the Hensoldt is only available in FFP with the 4-16 power... So I can exclude the Hensoldt as a runner up because for a little less money I can get more variable power in a still very quality scope...

I know I can't really go wrong with any of them... They will be used for long distance shooting and hunting... From those of you that have experience with the four in the middle what can you say about glass quality between them, light collection, quality, ruggedness, optical venetting, construction, parallex adjustment, tube sizes, **warrenty** etc etc... to help me narrow it down to the best money can buy here? Like I said, they are all good... Just looking for yall's true opinions here to help me decide before I drop any cash. I'm going to end up buying at least 3 new scopes of this quality within the next year as custom rifle builds start finishing up...

I would add the Kahles gen 2 K624i with the MSR-K reticle to that list. $3184 from CSTactical. 6-24x with great glass turrets and warranty. Just got mine and its awesome. I also have to USO and its a really great scope with the EREK turret, its just so large, built like a tank though.

Other things to consider are types of reticles, eye relief, turret feel, parallax range 10m-1000 or 50-1000 etc etc

you really need to find some of these scopes you are considering and get behind them ... your talking 12k over the next 1yr in optics.

My personal pick would be 5-25 SB for the 3+K range

NF F1, Vortex in the under 3 range ...

When spending that kind of money, I would lean towards something with a lifetime warranty. S&B, while arguably the best tactical optic, only has a two year warranty.

Unless you have enough disposable income, There is no way in hell im spening $3K on an optic to have hit shit the bed and be out.

I would have advised to go with the bender, but since it only has a 2 year warranty, that would not be my first choice...the henny seems to be a great scope also right up till you have to send it in and you are sol. the uso has way too many probs with it for me to even consider. personally I have an f1 and shoot regularly out to 1k yards with it, and I know several peeps with that scope and ive seen zero probs w it. the "operator" dudes I shoot with recommend the f1 and the leupys.

I forgot to put March scopes in there too.... I dont know much or do I hear much about these.... from what I've ready they seem to be pretty good too.

I'm looking at these for a next scope and think I've narrowed my choices between the premier and kahles. The luepold a are nice but to be honest the pinch and turn turrets are horrible. About +- .1mil wiggle in each direction. It's so bad I'm often .1 mils off when making adjustments. Glass and reticle is great though. Take it for what it's worth
