So I'm looking to find a site where I can design my own logo. Most sites are pretty generic and boring, either that or $300 and up, but I still want to do it myself to it's exactly what I want. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure as to one where you can do it all yourself but years ago I used logoloft.com. At the time it was around $150 I think. I filled out a questionnaire and they sent me like 10 designs. You got to narrow it down to three and then got something like two revisions to each. I was really impressed with the options and the quality. Just an option for you.
Well, if you decide you'd rather have a professional design your logo, then go to 99designs.com. You can essentially contract someone to design your logo according to your specifications. For whatever you want to pay, you'll get a lot for you money since you'll get to choose the best design by however many people bid on your design contract. Just another option for you.
My ex wife worked for them...they screwed all the employees that worked there by declaring bankruptcy, they said they would re do it and higher everyone back. Needless to say they never hired any of them back. They use a lot of canned designs for their work and they have also been caught for stealing designs.
Very cool - never thought to look for a logo design place that gave it out to groups of people like that.
