I have been looking at this gun for a while. It is a .300 win mag AR. Just wanted to hear the pros and cons from anyone who has one.

How much are they and do you order direct from them? Every since I watched their video I've wanted one of those!

shot the watchman and recoil is less than a 308, but it jammed after first shot (only because it was really dirty and had a suppressor.) But my dad shot one with a muzzle brake and he said it had less recoil than a 308 too. we were shooting 220gr bullets, also the mags are HUGE!, but they brought a duffle bag full of them. the trigger wasn't so bad and so I give it a 8-9 out of 10 for 3 shots.

pros: you got a WM in an AR.

cons: you got a WM in an AR.

ZING!

How's that for being a wise ass?

ETA: I am truly interested in the performance of these rifles. Keep us updated.

I think this thing is going to be pretty BA it sucks that I'm work out of town and will not be able to pick it up for two and a half weeks. I ordered it from my local dealer, and their rep had them in stock. Msrp is about $5500, I got a pretty good deal, my dealer ordered 3 that day and picked it up 4995. As soon as I have the time to shoot it I will post pics of the groups. I will keep everyone up to date. I really thought someone on here would have one. Anything that holds 14 rounds of 300 win mag has to be a blast.

Well, after watching this video (great marketing BTW) - it makes me want one too:cool:

I got to handle one (but not shoot it) when the rep came by my shop. Nice rifle, the build quality was top notch. Everything had a nice tight fit. I can't wait to get my hands on one, as I am a huge fan of the .300 WM and AR's. Best of both worlds.

I ordered one in all black and it took 7 months to get. (I'm not a big fan of stripes) The first thing I noticed was the barrel had a lot of scuffs in the finish down by the chamber (quite visible through the rail) so I was not very impressed with the finish quality.

The flash suppressor is Ka-RAP, you would think for $5500 you would get a decent brake so that is gone.

The stock and cheek pad is ho hum, not very comfortable but the mono pod is a nice feature. The stock on my Ashbury Precision Ordinance Mod 1 makes the OMEN mono pod, cheek pad, and adjustable butt pad look like a cheap toy.

There was only one mag.. again, $5500 and you only get one mag.. Seriously??? I expect that from a cheap AR clone company.

The bag is nice but a bit overkill with pockets and such, the pocket for the can is probably all I will ever use.

The trigger is crisp and smooth, a bit too much travel for my liking but still a very nice trigger. I have Wilson Combat triggers in all my AR's and they are a step above the trigger in the omen.

When you compare the build quality to a Wilson Combat AR, the Wilson Combat is Amazing, the OMEN is just very nice. It's on par with Barrett but has a long way to go to compete with the masters at Wilson Combat.

I had to laugh, the shell from the test round was a PPU... The very first round through a $5,500 AMERICAN rifle was a Serbian POS. That is a heritage insult if nothing more. NEMO could have at least sprung for Winchester! No target was provided.

There is a big warning in the owners manual, if it is blowing primers or piercing them, replace the firing pin and change the ammo. So this tells me the rifle is not going to like MK 248 Mod 1 so I am loading MK 248 Mod 0's.

The rifle does the job, it sends rounds down range and does so accurately. (shot it today as a matter of fact) Is it worth $5,500? Nope. The only reason I bought it was because I hate shooting a 300 win mag bolt gun due to a shoulder injury and because I can afford it. If you have to sell your first born to buy one of these, you might be a bit let down.

So to sum it all up, I was not overly excited when I got the rifle and saw what it came with and the overall quality. I was pissing myself with excitement when I got my Barrett M82... So if that tells you anything... Would I recommend it to a friend? No, not unless he has money to burn on a unique 300 win mag platform.

Tagged for follow ups.

My should be here by now, but I'm working out of town so I'm not sure. They did say they were in stock. I'm also not a big fan of the stripped paint I might have it redone. I think I'm going to get a Barrett 107a1 with a 20" barrel but before that I'm going to have to have a 375 cheytac first.
