I'm wanting to make my own nylon pouches for some specialized projects. Does anyone have a source for the raw materials (all the different color nylon and velcros)?

Thanks

What kind of webbing is used on the high end slings, like the TAB gear? I would love to have some of that to make a belt out of. I've went to a few climbing stores to try and find some, but the webbing they have seems cheap in comparison...More like slippery plastic.

Great thread. Thanks for the link LCJones. My wife is going to make me a shooting mat soon and this info was just in time. I'll be going with the good ol' MARPAT.

They should have what you want. I've got a bunch of rolls of black 1.5" webbing - PM me if interested.

There is a company that produces tarps out of 1000D Cordura and they sell their end cuts on eBay. You can typically get a good sized box (10-20 lbs) for pretty cheap, and the cuts are pretty big, especially if you're just making pouches.

Search eBay 1000d Cordura remnants. A box of 1 yard by 60 inch pieces, about $3.30 a yard.
