Hunting & Fishing Rifle Sling?

I am looking for a sling for my new hunting rifle . What sling do you guys use, or recommend?

Kinda depends on where I am hunting and which rifle I am taking.

For a heavier rifle I use a neoprene type sling(the butler creek one), they dont slip and takes some of the pressure off the shoulder

If I will be moving up inclines and boulders, I use a Vtac two point sling and cinch across my back

tromping through the woods with my Featherweight, I use a leather cobra style sling.

I use the M1907 style military sling. I replace the swing swivels with 1 1/4 swivels. I do my best shooting using the sling, hunting is no different. It makes for easy carrying and just takes a second to sling up for shooting.

+1, the Montana Sling works awesome, simple and just dang nice in the field & yes I know its upside down but I like to run them this way

I live by KISS and lightest is bestest. Most time my rifle is hung on my pack back so a simple light nylon sling is what I prefer. It only comes off when stalking or in deadly terrain where I need it at the ready, sling really does not matter other than weight and affording me some support for the shot.

KISS is best. I run a Vellini sling on the bolt rifle, and take it off when dangerous game is in the area. Makes me hold the rifle ready.

Double rifle, has no sling, but has 1 1/4 sling attachments available.

i have riflecraft rs2 slings on a couple rifles and really like them. simple and offer good support as a shooting aide.

I've been using the Quake Claw sling for the past for years on all my hunting rifles and really like them . They grip your shirt or jacket very well and you don't have to keep repositioning the rifle on long hikes to your hunting spot.

I like the Montana Sling too. Especially since it's made in Montana, is ingenious/simple/functional/durable, and the maker is a serious rifleman/hunter.

I attach it with the loop aft, so it can be easily used as a hasty loop sling.
(similar to using a military loop sling, but the loop is not cinched down tight on your arm)

Montana sling with loop near the butt. Since most of us are running it that way, is it really "upside down"?

I also use both the 1907 and the M1 cotton web on occasion. I can build a really steady position with either.
