Hey guys I am looking for a place to buy some Danner boots (cheaper the better). I have narrowed it down to 3 pairs and not sure which to go with. I would like something 4.5-6 inches, waterproof, can run in comfortable when needed, and obviously durable. I am open to suggestions as well. Will be used for everyday usage, as well as shooting trips and hikes to get where I shoot.
BTW sorry if this is in the wrong section mods.

I have purchased several pair of the stryker style The sole doesnt have the deep tread and doesnt hold mud. Side zip is a must for me fast on fast off

I recently picked up a pair of the Danner Melee boots, the taller model with goretex, and have been extremely pleased. They offer enough support for rucking, but are flexible enough to jog in. I usually buy my Danner boots through policehq.com. (Streicher's).

Yeah its kinda nice danner is only 30mins away so I just drive there when I need new soles or a new pair. I've been very pleased also (my dad must have 5 pairs) they are my go to boots for anything outdoors.

I recently went to 5 stores and tried every boot I could find and wound up with the salomon quest 4D gtx. as long as you don't need EE width the salomons are worth a shot up to 60# extended load.

salomons are run like the wind, light and goretex.

whatever you do buy them online for a good price.

I agree with PDXGS, Sign up @ www.hitthebreakroom.com it's a danner outlet that sells overstock and seconds. I can pick up $400 boots for $120-$150 when they go on sale. Most of the seconds are cosmetic in the tanning possibly slightly off color, nothing functional. Being in the mining business it's not hard to go through 2 pairs a year. I buy 2 pairs each year cheaper than anywhere on the web or retail.

my favorite is the light weight, no insulation, low-top hunter for about anything around here weather-wise & I have 4 pair right now . plus I got one pair of 400 grn. weight insulated high-top also, but it has to just faltass cold to be wearing them .

nothing wrong with there 2nds sale boots . I have bought many pairs with no troubles & have 3 pair right now that I am wearing . (for me ) buy the 2nds off the shelf over on airport way in portland . there overruns or blem or dye/color etc. on the 2nds they sell .
Factory designation mark on Danner Seconds is a 'very small' punch-hole on the very top of the boot Tongue .

I got a pair from the break room about two months ago. Hot weather boot in khaki. Light and super comfortable. $58.00 with tax and free shipping. YMMV
