don't store hornady ultrasonic Gun cleaning solution in milk jugs, it will eat through the bottom of them in a couple of months and you'll have solution all over the place...
best to use the thicker plastic jugs for car windshield washer fluid

If a chemical is eating through a container, it is the result of the composition of the container, not the thickness. Always store chemicals in their original containers. If you must use another container, research the reactivity of the chemical with the container composition. This simple step can save you from a mess , as well as property damage and personal injury.

What he said. Thickness is just a function of time before it eats through the container. The correct container should always be used to store chemicals.

Look on the bottom of the original container. If plastic, it should have a number inside recycling arrows, maybe it'll have the abbreviation for the plastic too. You need a container that has those same specs unless you know for a fact what other plastics are suitable.

FWIW, I use the Birchwood-Casey stuff, and I store the mixed chem/water solution in 2 litre plastic pop bottles. Considering the array of chemicals that make up Coke/Pepsi/Dew and all the rest, they work great for my use.

Your mileage may vary.
