Gunsmithing Adhesive / Epoxy for sling swivel flush cups ?

What is the preferred epoxy for installing Flush Cups in a stock ?
The first rifle to get them will be a H-S stocked Savage LRP in 6.5 Creedmoor.
I was planning on cleaning the cups with brake cleaner then giving them a rougher texture by hitting the OD on the belt sander before putting them into place with adhesive.

I would have something like the sako Trg system that has a flush cup on both sides of the stock tied together with a screw arrangement.

Mine were threaded. Once I drilled out the stock and tapped it I put a little JB on the threads. They haven't fell out yet.

Thread the stock with a tap, apply marine tex, tighten. It will withstand a lot of force

The butt on HS stocks are usually hollow so the tap/thread method probably won't work

I have used Devcon and never had any problem with them.
