And none of this required a pair of heels and a thong.

Wife has been wanting to do 5k and longer runs but Im not much for organized races and while Ive done my fair share of ruck marches, climbing, long runs and God knows what else, I just have never had it in me to run for sport or fun.

Who the hell runs for fun??? Its tedious and boring. Holy shit. Id rather just climb something with 60lbs on my back than run for 45 minutes.

In no means am I a couchbody, but like I said, I hate running. Ive met a few of you and Im sure you can vouch for this as I am 6 foot 185ish, so Im not fat or out of shape, I just dont work out super regurarly and did I mention I HATE running?

The whining had no effect. Neither did the going to work out without me. I didnt give a shit when she brought home local 5k race flyers. Nope....have fun with that.

But whats this? I get in shape to run a 'fast' as in, not mailing it in, 5k and a 10k and you want to get me a KAC SR15Mod1 you say? How the hell did you even know the name of that thing?

Needless to say....Day 1 is this afternoon. I already put my running shoes on once earlier and well, Im still here lol.

Now I need someone to call me on a daily basis and yell at me to make sure Im running.

Hmmm, I end up buying something for my wife so I can buy a new rifle. Last time I had to buy a necklace that cost more than her wedding ring so I could buy an AI.

Something tells me he will pay in kind for that rifle long after the run is over though ;)

    I do still need a PVS24.

But I have to say, I got kind of turned on when she said....Knights Armament SR15Mod1 totally out of nowhere.

    God I love retirement.

If you see me running please shoot the guy behind me. Because I'm out of ammo and couldn't whip him. I will second the hate running. Ran way to much in college for baseball.

I AGREE, ANY GUN TALK FROM YOUR WOMAN IS FUCKING HOT!

Hahaha... I have to agree with Switch on this one. I figure my wife and I have been married almost 44 years. We're both stay at home (pretty much) retired. We've been together 24/7/365 since May of 2010 and neither of us have even took a shot at the other. Even though I probably deserved it a few times.

    Good luck.

I was totally hoping this was going to be about two chicks.

A gun is cool I guess.

Check large juicy morsel for a hook. I suspect there is a catch involved but for a KAC SR15 - I would probaby wind up flopping around in the bottom of the boat before I even considered it might be a baited hook.

Hmm, retirement, races, running sweetening the deal with rifle.

How is your red stuff pump doing are you sure you're not being duped into something :) :) :) :)... Does your insurance cover accidental death from running and who is the beneficiary :) :) :) :)

Clearly, she's trying to kill you:)

There are far easier ways. I doubt running is near the top of the list.

Was only a few years ago I could do the 3 miles in 18ish minutes routine, I just hate running and have a huge lack of will to keep up with the conditioning needed. With that said, holy shit does the conditioning part go away fast.

How far do you have to run to get a Vortex Razor HD 1-6 for the KAC? It could be worth it!

Married 44 years and just about to fully retire. Jewelry=guns has been my winning combo for years, since both will keep their value and I HATE running also! Good luck with your run, but just remember, all you have to do is finish the race. Then on to your next negotiation! Good Luck

Hey German----did you run for Team Hello Kitty yet today???? On your feet, German, Chop, CHOP!!!!!!

Do you really want that Rifle?????

Just trying to help a brother out....

    Team Hello Kitty reporting.....

just got done with run #3, and I started doing weights on days I dont run.

Wow....when did this shit become so hard?

    Why, I have a USO 1-8 :p

But for this rifle, I'll probably just use it as my go to AR (assuming it runs my initial breaking in beating) over my Stag M4 that's been good to me. Bolt on the AN/PEQ2A and an EOTech and I'll be GTG.

PSA - After a week of running, dont do your 'leg/core' weight days the day before you start Week 2 of running.

    Good God this sucks.

You might try trail running, in the woods with hills. This is 100x more interesting than running on pavement, and easier on your knees. I used to run 35 miles a week in the mountains, but still could not stand street running.
