I've got a 223 that shoots great with match bullets but I've also got a whole bunch of hornady 55gn soft points.

Anybody had any luck with these and CFE223 or similiar?

If I can get 1 moa id be happy,

Yes, got good results out of TAC, Acc2230, H335, WC844, IMR4895, and I'm sure a few more I can't recall at the moment.
I found it helps to weigh your bullets and seperate them into lots by weight. The FMJs etc I use can vary up to 1 grain either side of the advertised weight. I only do this during load workup to insure that the only variable I'm dealing with is charge weight . Once a good load is found, I no longer weigh the bullets and just start cranking them out. Since the vast majority of my ammo is fed through AR's, I just load to max OAL that will work in my magazines and don't mess with length.

I doubt you could pull 1MOA from the FMJ's since they are open base bullets. Using the 55gr SP's with WC844 has given me MOA accuracy, though. For about $.17/rd, I'm happy with that load.

I get around 1 MOA with Hornady 55FMJ with 25 Grains of H335 with LC Brass and Wolf Sm Rifle Primer(Hotter Version of there Mag Primer). This was out of a Rock River NM Rifle with 1-7 Twist Wilson Barrel.I tested load at 200 Yards.
