Just got my new Us Optics SR8C. This is the best scope for 3Gun type matches I have ever seen. The red dot is bright under Southern California sunny weather. I have a Mil Scale reticle with a BDC for quick shots out to 800yds. I am very impressed with this scope.

Did they tell you this was the last C they will be making as they are starting to build the SR8M? (Hopefully)

Enjoy it. Hope it works well for you. Please update as you discover its capabilities.

Edit - Got home and looked at this post on the home computer to see the pics, my work machine will not upload jpeg through the firewall. Seeing your scope made my nuts ache. Someday soon mine will come and I will be complete.

I am not sure they will make the M model. The way they had the illumination setup for dual lighting I did not like it at all. You have to keep pushing the buttons trhough all its settings to go from one illumination to the other.

I just talked to Becky the other day about this, they're working on a new board for the illumination

Lazy21 you post the nicest things. Will your quaint sweet nothings still mean as much to me after delivery of my scope?

Hey guys! The SR8M model is still something we will be offering and it will NOT be replacing the SR8C. The m model will be for people who want to use night vision with and an illuminated reticle and also have a rear red dot feature.

Awesome! I have been HIGHLY debating purchasing this for 3 gun as well. Its nice to see someone post some pics of the same model I wanted. Could I please please request some 8x photos with the red dot on and off, I think seeing these will seal the deal. Also does anyone have an opposition to choosing the red dot over blue? Is red naturally a faster aquiring target dot or is blue superior in certain situations. How is the eye relief? Do you feel any parallax sighting in or does it truelly feel like a 1x scope?

Anywho thanks for the great post brotha!

Good to hear they are being offered.

When are they being built?

As soon as we get our new circuit boards in for them!

I was hoping for a non specific answer such as November 2, 2013 at 1245 hrs 36 seconds as soon as Bill gets out of the crapper, with a slight delay if some one used the last of the paper without refilling.

...but absent that

Ill take "when we get the parts"

Just take your time and build it right. I dont mind waiting if it works.

WTH pm, do you not believe me ;) ?

I was giving you the month off as reward for the happy shenanigans you pulled for me last month.

You will hear from me in another 9 days.

You can also get this scope with the H130. It should be on the website soon but in the meantime you can call in your order.

Wow nice! What reticle is this, I thought you could only do c2 and jng mil??

Is that reticle a custom one, or something they will offer as standard?

Not the OP but I'll throw you what I am thinking is the answer.

Yes it's custom. The OP bought 10 of them to get that service. I suppose USO would be able to make another as the OP paid for the most expensive one. If you don't want to wait the OP is selling one of his 10 in the glass for sale section. Hurry!

Here are some pics of my custom reticle designed for 3 gun matches. These are not the best pics. The dot appears a little off center because of the camera angle. But when you look through it it is centered on the glass. Also the glass is clear and sharp when you are looking through the scope.
I do have this scope for sale. Its brand new in box from UsOptics and the price is below any other dealer selling this model.

Scope on 8x Dot Off

Scope on 1x Dot On on a Sunny day in Southern California

Whats the specs on the BDC?

I really like the Swarovski BRT reticle on my Z6is, but this doesnt seem to be too far behind. Had you only made up your mind and went with a mil stadia tree instead of both mil hashes and BDC I would have bought that extra scope in a heart beat ;)

ETA: Found the BDC specs in the WTS... Looks like a 69gr SMK@2825 would be pretty darn close for elevation but still off for windage...hmm

The BDC is calibrated for a 77gr SMK going at 2720fps. Plug those numbers into a ballistic calculator and you get the drops for all the bdc marks.
I chose the Bdc because i designed this reticle to shoot 3gun matches where there is no time to dial your elevation or wind.
The reticle also has a std Mil reticle crosshairs with hash marks every 0.5 Mil. So you can dial your distance and disregard the bdc if you choose to.

Would have loved to see it in person, maybe next time we're down in SD with the inlaws :)

Will this optic work with a AADmount?

Check the offset of the AADMount and compare it to an ADM Recon (for reference)
I had an SR-8s in an ADM Recon and could not get enough eye relief with that combo as the SR-8 has the turret housing quite close to the objective.
I bought a Bobro that had another 3/4" of offset and it worked really well in that.
I have another scope in a cantilever AADMount (Bushnell ET6245F on an AR-15) and do not have the eye relief issue, nothing against the mount, 'cause it is an excellent mount.

I have the Larue SPR1.5 and its on the last rail of my receiver. But i feel that if it was mounted a little more forward would be even better. I just got a Larue SPR E but havent mounted yet. But i sm sure that is going to give me the extra eye relief.

Just Got my new USO SR8C with Red Dot

Well I got my SR8c but I'm still not sure if the AADmount 30mm will work? Is there anyone who has both and can check before I order? It's the front ring that I'm concerned about, Jon said the mount should be 1.1inches I don't have good calipers to measure the scope space between the adjustment block and the objective accurately-it looks really close. I think scud 'no longer works here'.
