After ALOT of searching I have come to a wall on my .338 Edge build. I have built other cartridges(.308, 6.5 Creedmore, .260 Rem and others) on both Remington and Savage actions. I have come to prefer Savage actions, but for this build I am stuck as what to do.
I can't come up with a way to build an Edge on a Savage action, shoot it with the 300gr Bregers and still have it be a repeater (I know it can be done as a single feed, but I need a repeater for this build), so unless someone can enlighten me as to something I havn't found yet, it looks like it will be a Remington.
So the idea I came up with was this. The Remington Sendero is available in 300 Ultra Mag with the HS stock. Could I just buy a Sendero, take it to my Gunsmith and have him rebarrel it to the Edge? Or will the magazine still be too short for the Edge with the 300gr Bergers?
