Are you fricken kidding me!

WOW!!

It's too bad people will pay that. Another bad thing is us ordinary folks can't ship powder or primers, I'm sure a lot of people would help each other out of a bind if they could.

One must question the legitimacy of those auctions, when I was there it was relatively easy too have multiple accounts, don't know if it has changed?

yeah, thats a bit out of the ordinary. Someone must need them real quick or is going to push the cost off to another consumer i/e custom ammo reloader.

Also if you look at the bid history and feedback, the guy who won and the guy who was counter bidding, both have no feedback. The one guy "22ranch" has been around since 2008 and has not purchased anything??? Kinda validates Milo's comment.

That outfit ought to be punched in the pussy

Why? If I posted an auction and morons were stupid enough to pay waaaay over retail, I would gladly sell and ask if they needed more. Need a punching bag, use the idiot that AGREED to pay $570. He won't feel a thing.

My stuff is worth as much as I can convince someone to pay and not a dime less.

Well lets just take a walk here.... WHY? HMMM.... Because you upped the price almost 5 times what it usually is on something that is in short supply as it is. I've got thousands of bullets primers ect... If somebody needs to buy something because they are running low , I charge them exactly what I paid and am happy to help. I can understand making a few bucks .... No big deal , but to charge that much..that's fucking ridiculous. Like I said "needs to be punched in the pussy"

I am slow when it comes to reloading, are they that much better than CCI primers? I picked them up recently for $32 per k including shipping for all but large pistol primers.

And like it has been said above, the issue is not the seller it's us the customer.

$570 for 5k Federal Match primers?
Thats $114 for 1k primers, 4 times the normal price.

5000 FEDERAL GOLD MEDAL LARGE RIFLE PRIMERS : Reloading Supplies at GunBroker.com

You should have been here a few years back during the great '210M famine.' Cartons were selling for $250 a pop and people were bidding on them at that price.

You kids...you have it so easy these days...lol.

210Ms are $45 a carton here at the LGS in Miami, so $28/1k is a little bit on the abnormal side, IMO.

Pretty sure there was some shenanigans going on there....Looked like the seller had another account bumping up the price. So....was it really the buyer who set the price?

Doesn't matter if there were a dozen shill bidders, the buyer set the final price. I wasn't there, but I doubt anyone held a gun to his head and forced him to bid.

Shit would you guys think bad of me for putting 5000 of the same up on auction? Hell I'll spare 10,000 if I could get that price. People have more money than sense if this actually did sell for that price.

If you think those prices are high, try looking for rimfire ammo on gunbroker. I saw 6000 rounds of m22 ammo sell for about $625 shipped. The mark ups are pretty high on stuff that people feel they can't get.

I'm a free market capitalist, so knock yourself out.

Just don't put them on SHs at that price.

Also, you have to be HAZMAT certified to ship primers via UPS, or FEDEX and that certificate is going to cost you about $500. You can't ship primers any other way, without breaking the law.

I'd never market anything like that here or any other forum and I have my hazmat endorsement so no worries. It was more a joke than just being serious. I don't even known if I could consciously rip anyone off like that.

I'm thinking a real nice Air Rifle would make a nice Christmas gift for me. Think I'll mention it to the wife. :) No powder, no primers, and I can cast my own pellets.

Maybe I'll even consider "suggesting" one of those Korean "Large Bore" air rifles. Just think, a .458 that doesn't take a huge quantity of powder, a primer, case prep, as well as greatly reduced noise and kick.

I'll just have to be careful to stock up when there's a run on "air" :)
