Gunsmithing Badger FTE and Mini FTE question

My AI from Mile High had the full size FTE installed by them. Question is, is there a difference with the barrel machining from one to the other? Was curious if I put the mini on there if it would thread on over whatever shoulder is currently on the barrel now.

There is a difference, if you take the Big FTE off you will notice a large shoulder cut in the barrel under the clamp. On the mini FTE the clamp actually clamps the threads so that entire shoulder will be exposed.
So the mini will thread on and clamp properly, however you will have a wierd shoulder on your barrel that would be visable.
