I'd like to be able to fit a slightly longer cartridge into my Model 7's standard magazine. Thinking about a 6.5MM TCU but the overall cartridge length will be longer than the standard .223 setup with the 95gr Vmax or 100gr Nosler BT's.
I figure if it could be stretched out around .2 to .25" it would allow me to set the bullets normally. Anyone done this before with any degree of success?

Thanks.

I suggest you contact wyatt outdoors and see if they can help you.

If you replace the factory mag with a detachable setup and run AICS 223 mags you can get the 6 TCU out to 2.5" long and it will feed without issue.

The other thing you might attempt if you're handy and good with tools would be to re-make that block in the back of the magazine that limits the length from 2.85 down to 2.3

A cleaner, easier solution is to replace the floor plate setup and put in an DBM that runs AICS mags, then put the 223 mags in there and roll on.
