Tactial Rifles 308 Rifle

You think they'd learn they could make more money if they just actually built nice rifles. Weird concept.

God I love this place. This guy disappeared before Shankster could even post his high school yearbook photos and a copy of his pay stub from Tacticalrifles.net. I guess his illiterate buddy from the other thread told him not to stick around once the sharks started circling. With any luck this guy didn't steal the identity of a service member to log in with.

So true, all of it. Haha

Just an FYI this is not Rooney ... truely new to the forum and will do my best to comply with what people are asking for here. I will hopefully have time tonight to go and get photos of the above referenced items and get stuff loaded onto the thread. Will get pic of certificate and post as well.

I was just following up regarding the photos, certificate and invoice. We would like to see for ourselves your positive experience with Tactical Rifles Inc.

Oh Boy.sad part is,,,,,i own one of their rifles.......i bought it before being better educated.

Guys with these rifles should start posting their Proof Targets so we can compare them... I have a feeling since they are "copies" of the targets, (which was written in the email) we might find another area of discussion.

I find it odd that their web site lists 47 "testimonials" of their happy customers; however, 21 of the 47 are dated 4 mar 2013 while another 20 are dated 30 nov 1999. Nothing like having a 14 year gap in reviews to bolster consumer confidence.

Is it just me or does that scope appear to be photo shopped onto that rifle. I downloaded the pic and that entire scope looks off. The scope tube is larger behind the front ring and the whole scope looks offset like its cocked a good 20 degrees from center. I know I am getting old but something is up with that pic or else I am worse off then I thought :)....

Good catch... The scope does look a little off between the rings, the slightly skewed angle, quality of the image and color/brightness variations.

thought I was seeing things for a minute. When I magnified the image the whole thing is off and out of focus compared to the rest of the pic. Even the objective does not match from top to bottom and there should not be a straight, highlighted line along the bottom of the optic....something is up.

Not only that but look at the shadow above the barrel of the gun and buttstock. Keep in mind that most cameras have a flash mounted above the aperture, so as not to catch these shadows, but there is a white whisp around the scope. That tells me that either somebody used light flashes below the camera, and dropped in the scope, or they took the picture with the camera upside down.

Damn! I hope they dont want their money back. They paid me $500 to do that photo. I guess I'll use something better than Microsoft paint next time. Btw thats just a paper towel roll on the end of the barrel.

"fancy", "custom built" rifle sitting on a $60 BS tripod from cabelas?

Again, I don't understand how it is legal to do what this company does. Imagine if every company in the U.S. operated like this.

friend on mine also purchased one years ago. waited and waited. They ended up taking his rifle to shot show to show it off instead of shipping it when it was done.

If anyone is passing their booth please post a pic, see whos rifles are up there this year.

Wow ... didn't realize this would set off such a shit storm.

Sorry for causing such a flury of things here...

We have not heard from you regarding the promised certificate, photos and invoices. Please tell us that this is not a shill posting. Please do not let the faithful owners of Tactical Rifles down by not providing any proof of your comments and allegations! Say it isn't so rem700300wsm! Please show us you are not a coadjutor, paraprofessional, temporary worker, abettor or right hand henchman for Mr. Rooner!! Please prove to us that you or Mr. Rooner is not a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shyster" target="_blank">Shyster!</a>!

To the shill poster then just know that we are trying to help you help yourself! I part you with a video of how much we want to help:

All -

I can see that you all do not like Mr. Rooney ... I will still deliver on the items I have said that i will provide. I have a job that on occasion requires me to work weekends and other requirements in life that take precadent to online forums (not trying to be disrespectful). I will provide the deliverables you have requested, but my real job takes priority over this forum. I will do my best to get the answers to all of your questions/comments this week.

Additionally, I am the guy on snipers paradise and yes that was my post. Not trying to hide behind anyone or anything ... I do want to get to the bottom of this whole thing and see whats going on and why you all have such a distaine for Mr. Rooney. I have a .338 lapua build with him right now and would like to know what has upset all of you so much so that i can look at what to focus on with this build that is currently in process.

I am in colorado fyi and will update as soon as i can. Additionally, I did not photo shop the image in my original post. Took the picture with an Iphone 4S (don't own a nice camera). Additionally, the tripod was a gift from a buddy and took the picture to say thanks to him (the friend is not Rooney just to be clear).

Sorry to ruffle so many feathers over here but will get back and update you all soon. Thanks

Matt

Try reading the posts, and the posts from 2 other active threads on this company. There is plenty of evidence of why people have such DISDAIN for this guy. Why don't you try disassembling your trophy rifle and maybe you will see what all the fuss is about.

Matt,

I do not know Mr. Rooney. I have never met him nor done business with him. I have a job and two very small children, so hey, I know how you feel times 10. We really appreciate the assistance.

You are concerned about feathers and ruffling? Well here are two other threads that you might want to review and see if maybe some people on here are not happy with Mr. Rooney:

http://www.snipershide.com/shooting/snipers-hide-bolt-action-rifles/223193-tacticalrifles-net.html
http://www.snipershide.com/shooting...fles/137906-warning-~-tr-~-my-experience.html

We look forward to your assistance. We are intrigued, to saw the least. Hope to hear from you soon and thank you in advance for your willingness to show off your rifle.

rem700300wsm- The reason everybody is up in arms over your post is because it follows a trend.

Throughout the years a "TR.NET hosed me for a bunch of money" threads have popped up, and they have video or photo evidence showing the poor craftsmanship of TacticalRifles.net. Shortly after those threads were started, a shill or two shows up to claim they have bought multiple TR builds that are perfect in every way. Those posters never provide proof of their builds ot how they shoot. Either that or a thread, such as yours, praising TR.net is posted shortly after a negative TR.net thread is created. The timing is very convenient and keeps with a trend.

So that is what set us on edge. Not only that, but you don't see any "TR rifles are awesome, and here's mine!!" threads until a/multiple negative TR.net threads are put up. The lack of proof on other threads, and the lack of positive (non paid) endorsements (not posted within a short time span of a negative threads) speaks for itself.

If you truly have a well made TR.net rifle, we would like to see close ups so that we can examine the craftsmanship or lack of craftsmanship.

If you truly have a well made TR.net rifle, (you are one of the few) we would like to see close ups so that we can examine lack of craftsmanship. And a picture of you crying when you disassemble it to inspect the "work" done to it.

I fixed your information above. :p

New to the forum and after seeing all the awesome stuff on here I had to post my new build.

Had the guys at Tactical Rifles build this for me:

.308 Chimera Action on a T7 Stock with a Surefire Can and an IOR 3-18x42 mm scope (painted that myself and need to fix the ring issue) ... have a certificate from TR that it shot a .165 c-c group before they shipped it (3 rd group + sighter) ... personally shooting sub moa out to 300 yards so far but need to keep working to get to what the rifle is capable of.

Can't say how happy I am to have this in my hands and can't wait to really stretch its legs soon (want to take out to about 800 once I gather the appropriate dope).

Hope this is up to snuff for the group here!

Rem700300WSM

I bet they used a dirty hole punch on your test target to get the .165 c-c groups they claim. You taking it out to 800......Inches cause that's about as far out as I would trust one of those Rooney Rifles. I heard he was also throwing in a free Sham Wow and Slap Chop with every rifle ordered in December. Tactical Rifles is a disgrace to custom builders, look on Youtube for some of their handy dandy "Custom Work" butchering customers rifles. Go ahead and post your invoice, I'd stretch your legs and pull your head out of your ass before posting some bullshit like this on here.

hey, mabe if we all chip in a little for transportation , we could send Lowlight to meet up with this guy.strip this bad boy down[the rifle] and take some photos.

Check out this gem. That snipers paradise place is a wealth of knowledge.
Suppressed 308 or 300 wsm - SP Sniper Chat

A little snippet on suppressors from some of the experts over there...#2 is my favorite for so many reasons.

Silencers aren't silent.
(2) Silencers are serreptitious devises that limit the effective ranger of the weapon upon which they are mounted.
(3) Novelty of ownership soon wears off after a couple hundred rds. and items (1) & (2) are ever presently realised.

I'd rather rake my ballsack across concertina wire, then cover the remains of my shredded nuttsack with honey and teabag a fireant mound than have anything to do with those fuckheads at piecesofshitturdrifles.net

And I spit Ramen noodles and Dr Pepper on the computer screen again. Nicely done sir, I was hoping you'd make an appearance.
