July 23 2013 I placed my order for this rifle. Oct 10 2013 it arrived at my FFL. Jp advises a break in of 20rds clean, 20 rds clean, then 300 rds before next copper removal.

On Oct 20 I fired 20 rds of 165 fed fusion I had laying around to get the scope somewhat zeroed. I then cleaned as advised by jp.

On Oct 23 I set out to fire rds 21-40, this time isin 168 fgmm. My CCB was high/left less than 1 inch. Rds 22-24 were touching starting at POA and stringing horizontally right. Rd 25 was called low.

My second group was a little better, but not great as I was more focused on learning the trigger than on POA. Group 3 was better still but my breathing caused some vertical stringing. Group 4 I spent a good 3 min perfecting my NPA and the results were much better. The last rd in the mag opened the group up just outside an inch.

I think I am really going to like this rifle! The scope used was a Leupold VXR patrol 3-9x40. The thick reticle and lack of parallax adjustment are obviously going to hold me back on group shooting a little. I intend on putting a NF 2.5-10x42 on it when funds allow. I'm not sold on the ACS stock. In the interest of consistency I think I may switch to a magpul moe fixed carbine stock.

And finally a pic of the rifle and my home guard...

I've got a ways to go learning how to shoot this rifle, but it should be a fun trip!

Hey you can't do that and not show more pics of that big bad stick. Congrats I have a LRP-07 18" light contour with Swarovski Z6i scope and absolutely love it. I just bought Tactical Weapons magazine and it has an artical on the JP LRP-07M and it was an AWESOME review. Oh yeah FYI, I will have pics up very soon of my babies.

Ya I read that article. I can't remember all of what makes it a "military" model. Mine does have the dust cover/forward assist.

Here ya go!

The optic, mount, hogue grip, and probably the stock will be changed once I have some more time on the rifle.

Grrr! Just went over to the range to tune the gas block. Unfortunately I was cockblocked by the lead removal guys...

Ok, thought I would give a little update. As of today I have 102 rds on this rifle. Please take note that this is my first PR that was not a hand me down. So I have and will make a few mistakes along the way and the rifle is probably capable of more than I am.

Here is the cold bore +2rds from 10-27...

After that day of shooting I cleaned with the provided JB bore compound so that on my next session I could record a CCB.

Last night I checked my rifle with the intention of shooting today. When I did so I discovered the rear lever on the AD mount flipped 1/4 open. Initially I just closed it, but as I thought about it I removed the optic and replaced pushing forward against the lugs. Not sure if that was the right thing to do or not... More reason I want to switch to a non QD mount. Anyway, here is the CCB from today even though I'm not sure it means as much after remounting the optic...

I chambered the first round by racking the CH on a loaded mag, and then did a press check. On the first round I had a fail to eject. Not sure if that is because of my loading procedure or if I need to open the gas block just a bit more. I will start loading from an open bolt and using the bolt release to see if there is any change. I would also like to see if it changes the CB impact at all. After the first 3 rds I adjusted down .1 and shot a 5rd group...

The way the light was I could not see individual shots. On one shot (3 or 4) my bag slipped a little under recoil and I don't think I quite got my NPA back correctly on the next shot. I am pretty sure that caused the flyer on the right.

One thing, I have read a million times how important consistency is. Reading it and seeing it on paper are different though and I am starting to get it thru my thick skull...;-(

Hate to say it but the times we live in make me. I would take down "And finally a pic of the rifle and my home guard..." and delete the pic.

Its all this current dictatorship needs to send out some special swat team for some perceived "endangerment". Then you spend the next 19 months and 300k in cash trying to get things fixed.

I read horror stories everday on the net.

Just ordered the Nightforce 2.5-10x42 for this gun!

Mike@cstactical was great to deal with. He gave me a great LE price and I had a tracking # within 60min of getting of the phone with him!

An update. Added NF 2.5-10x42, aimpoint t1, and atlas bipod. Painted her today, I qual with it Wednesday and it will be operational.

I'm pretty happy with how the paint turned out. I used Averoe paint. Base of sand, coyote and dark green. Then I used a sponge to apply more dark green and highland. Last I used Marine Corps green and sant to add some contrasts. It isn't as light as it looks in the pic. I would take a pic in the wild, but the wild here is white right now

I thought I would update this thread.

As of today I have 1305 rounds down the pipe. I spent too long chasing 100yd prone groups.

On 9-2 I shot this group at 200 off a tripod. I was an old lot explaining the poi/POA difference.

Today I shot this with the current lot from prone at 200.
