Centerfire precision training is hosting a local rifle match on feb.1 in Woodbury,GA. This is a fun/low key match and is great for first timers and newbies. This will be a team match so bring a buddy, but if you dont...dont worry about it, there will be others there to shoot with. This is just for fun..( code for no prize table). Hope to see new faces. Feel free to contact me with questions and you can go to centerfireprecision.com for directions.

i say that its 450 and in but they recently got a spot that will go about 900 yards. the match director may decide to keep that out so that the distance does not scare away first timers. again, this is very first timers friendly and for seasoned shooters to tune up and that most of the match will be inside 450.

This is a great place to shoot for the new guys as well as the seasoned shooter to stay in practice. I've shot here multiple times and have had a blast each and everytime. Good group of guys that put this match on, with each and eveyyone willing to help out in any way. If it wasn't for the Club series finale happening that same weekend, I'd be there.

So if your on the fence about shooting it, have no worries, you'll enjoy every minute of it.

I am located acrossed the state from you, sounds like a good place for some of the new shooters rto get started... like to get some more info, but looking forward to heading your way and getting burning some powder.

its a very laid back enviroment where you dont have to have the best gear or the fastest gun to come out and play. if you want you can PM me any time

Can't make the 1st, but please plan a second event. I am out of the Macon area and would like to get involved.

You're not far through the woods from me. Sounds like a good shoot for a .223 AR. Sorry if I missed it, but is there more info available on sign in, type of shooting (odd positions vs prone/bi-pod), round count? Thanks.

Sign up is that morning at 0830 max rounds is 60. We will most likely have all the standard positions and several off cover objects like a truck and a wood fence with several different holes cut in it. Supported by your sling and a pine tree may be thrown in as well. some physical activity before and during shooting. Max distance is 600.

8:30!?!?!?! Do you know what time I'm going to have to leave Columbia to get there ate that time? 4:00AM! Are there any motels near there?

Still can't wait.

Ryan

$30 match fee. and yes, if needed, you could share a rig but would not be practical only because there might be a stage or two where both shooters are firing at same time. again, just a humble, local match that all are welcome. The match director trys to accommodate all shooters were and when he can.

Sounds like you are going to have a good match going on there. I may drive over friday and spend the night to be there early enough.... is this open to either gas or bolt guns? Just making sure that i bring enough gun (s)!

Hopefully I will not be out of town at that time. I am in the Atlanta area and will try to attend.

I'm planning a possible group of six coming from Florida. Any recommended hotels close by? And was it $30/person or is that the team fee? Thanks again!

It's 30 per shooter and I will get you some hotel info. There is not a lot to choose from. I believe the closest place with hotels is Manchester, ga but I will double check and let you know.

Manchester has a low rent hotel and it's probably only 10-15 minutes away. Thomaston is a little bigger town about 30 minutes away or Griffin has lots of choices at 40 minutes away.

Count me in. I'm a first-timer for anything past 200 so this seems like a perfect day.

Is there anywhere we need to sign up or should we just plan on showing up on the 1st @ 830a?

I would love to make this one but don't know if I will be able too. Is there plans for this to be a recurring match or is this just a one time deal?

We will re-post in two weeks and have everyone that is coming PM me so we can get a better head count. The range and match director can only accommodate @ 30 shooters

Yep , I will be there. Still waiting on my new barrell for the 308 so I won't be shooting that class until the gun is ready but wil be shooting the other classes.

What u do with your old pipe? Was it a 10 twist? Need a take off for a 16" hunting bolt gun...

Guys we are about full. If you are 100% sure that you are coming, please PM me and let me know if you have a partner or not. We also ask that if your NOT 100% sure to wait on the PM. Thank you for understanding
