Thinking of Swaro ATX for dual use; Need advise

I need a good quality spotting scope for both 1000 yd range work and hunting. My wife is getting serious about her photography and would like telephoto options. Killing two birds with one stone; and now having a way to justify spending a considerable amount for my spotter, I am thinking of the the new Swaro ATX set up for digiscoping which we both could use.

Am thinking that a straight body is more appropriate for the camera use but need some advise on that part. She uses a Nikon D7000 camera.

I would also like opinions on other potential options to satisfy my needs here if there are any equal to or better than the Swaro ATX in a similar price range.

Recommended source for purchase would be helpful too. Cost is an issue but you generally get what you pay for so I know I can't go cheap. Just want to get the best deal possible like everyone else.

Thanks

If you check the group buy section you will see that there is a upcoming group buy for Swarovski. So if you can wait until after the Holidays you may be able to save a few bucks.

I have the angled one, the atx and cannot fault it. Have looked through the kowa and found the swarovski to be better glass and the focusing and zoom to be far more intuitive than the kowa. If your using a dslr you'll need the tls apo adaptor and whatever t ring for your camera. I use a fluid video head for mine and find it very good for videos and has good stability.
