I got a rifle in the works in 270. 24 inch tube. 1:10 twist. Any recommendations for hunting loads?

I've had excellent luck with H-4831 and 130,140 or 150 grain boolitz, 210 primers. My gun is a Win M70 push feed, and shoots well with with all weights mentioned. I tried RL-22 and didn't have nearly as good accuracy. It's a great deer caliber, although I've chosen to carry something else the last few years.

I use a Sierra Game King 140 gr and reloader 19. It works for my tikka I've tried many pounds of H4831sc and was just was never happy with it. However many other .270s love H4831sc and 130 gr bullet my gun just doesn't like it for some reason.

I've stuck on the H4831sc as well, under a 130gr. Sierra GameKing. I have an older Browning A-Bolt, and my particular rifle absolutely hates 140gr. bullets of any flavor. As an aside, found a load with 100gr. bullets that has the same POI as the 130 gr. load which is nice as well.

I have an older Savage that likes IMR4350 and 130gr Nosler Ballistic tips. I can't recall the powder weight off the top of my head, but it's close to the max load.

I've been using 58.0 gr H4831SC getting about 3,000 fps with 130 gr Berger VLD hunting bullets and WLR primer with Winchester brass. .25 or less MOA in a Christensen Arms at 100 yrds. OAL = 3.400". Most accurate rifle I have.

- 60gr of H4831 using a Hornady 130gr SP. Consistently get ~ .5 - .75" groups at 100 yds using a Rem 721. This is also a load that Dan Newberry notes on his website. He has a few others listed there for the 270 Win that I haven't tried.

- 55.1gr of H4350 using Hornady 130gr SP. Same results as above ... maybe a little bit better, but since this powder has been hard to get I save it for my 6.5 Creedmoor.

Both loads chrono ~ 3000 fps.

My favorite is 54gr of H4350 with the 140gr Noser Accubond. Was able get a 1/2" group at 100yds with the same Rem 721 above. Got that load from here: Load 10760 detail in caliber .270 Winchester

I use 55.0 grs. IMR 4350 with CCI primer and 130 NBT's. This is the only factory barreled rifle I own that I have never shot over the Chrony. I don't want to know how fast/slow the bullet is travelling. It shoots lights out! Two inches high at 100 yards and it hits perfect out to 300 yards.
