New to the Hide and Precision Rifle Community (or whatever the f*** anyone calls it lol). This is a Christmas Present to myself. Purchased the Rifle & Scope from EuroOptics.com Jason was extremely helpful in the walk through on my purchase. They are always in stock (if not, they'll have it ordered for you asap) with great number of high end products and ship it to you asap so you can get in the field/range as quick as possible! Gotta sight it in now.....

Didn't know they had hit the market yet.

Interested in how they compare to the 5-25 x 56 in terms of eyebox, tunneling at low powers, FOV, any vignetting of the image at the bottom or top of the elevation travel range, etc.

As much as I'd like to try one of these new 3-27's I think I'll buy 2 lightly used 5-25 x 56 instead and outfit 2 more rifles. :D

And by the way... you do Christmas gifts to yourself *very* right. :)

its called "standard caps" that comes with all SB's. Waiting on Tenebraex Objective caps ($20) plus adapter ($27), they have yet to produce ocular caps on the High Power Series. The scope comes with 38-40 MRAD internal adjustments, Only bummed that you have to do a special order for the 36 MRAD Turret Knobs from what Jerry Ricker from Schmidt Bender USA.

Damn nice set of gear, but the downside is that you have no excuse other than operator error from here on out ;)

Well that a very Merry Christmas. Congrats on a really nice rig. Be sure and follow up with a range report and impressions.

If you or a buddy also have a 5-25 S&B, I think we would all like a side by side comparison. And congratulations!

I'm in the process of trying to get the 36 MRAD turret knobs which have to be sent down from Germany. It sucks that it didn't come with the option when I purchased it but. Talked to Jason from EuroOptic LTD & he did not know that as well & was going to see if he can order some with that version. But, gotta wait on the pricing from Jerry so I can send it to him to be installed. So it would be pointless in a way as of now to zero it since you have I will have to rezero it again. I'll definitely get back to you guys soon on some sort of review when and if I can get those knobs asap hopefully. Check this video (not from me) with a review on the 3-27 & a side by side comparison to the 5-25 & 3-20 SB's.

Lucky you! I just can't justify spending the extra cash for 2X more power. I'm planning on ordering the 5-25X with the MSR reticle CCW MTC turrets and Tenebrex covers. Please give use some reviews, if you can do any comparison of the two scopes. Hope ALL have a Safe, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!

I thought the beauty of this new scope was supposed to be all about the 36 mils of elevation adjustment, as compared to "only" 26 mils on the "old" 5-25x56.

So why isn't the 36 mil turret standard? Did Jason say?

When I went to the EuroOptic website, ALL of thier S&B 3-27's are showing just 260cm/26mils elevation adjustment in their specs. Not what I'd want, since I already have that on my 5-25.....

Wait.....the 36mil turret is fucking extra? So let me guess with install...the price of this scope will be 7k?

The Elevation has 38-40 MRAD "Internal" adjustment from what Jerry Ricker from Schmidt Bender USA told me. The 36 MRAD turret knobs is just an option that has to be special order upon request. 26 MRAD turrets is the standard option, which i didn't know since I was one of the first ones to purchase it from EuroOptic. Jason did not know this until I had contacted him about it. So you're looking close to the same price tag of that of the Hensoldt ZF 3.5-26x56 if your purchasing the standard option and later get the 36 MRAD Knobs, but with different Reticle options. I don't know what the actual price will be if you order the the entire scope with that option.

    Mmmmm

Nice photos. I'm trying to convince SB Germany to provide the MSR reticle with the 3-27. It's great to see your photos though. Great setup!

You get what you for, I guess? I'll stick with 5-25 with MSR. Jon Aadland makes his scope caps for this scope and should fit the 3-27 and are worth the $100.
