Gunsmithing custom length remington style bolt

Does anyone know of anybody who makes custom length Remington 700 style bolts? I contacted PTG and they do not.

I have a R700 clone action that I need a new bolt for and it is longer than a short action and shorter than a long action.
The company that made it doesnt exist anymore.

If I have to I will buy a PTG bolt and cut it myself, just getting the cocking cam cut correctly is difficult.

Just an option. I've taken two Mauser bolts and cut them down to fit a high grade custom African rifle. I turned a short female ID section on one piece with a matching male section on the other piece. Then I had them Tig welded. Cleaned everything up and nobody knew the difference. I would think shortening a new bolt would be easier though.

Some companies, Defiance is one of them, make a Medium 700 clone action. This might be a good choice to start with if they (A) Sell them (B) is longer than the short action bolt, (C) will work at all in your action. Just thinking out loud here.

maybe buy one of their 783 bolt heads and fit it to a body?

i did sort of the same thing a few times cut the bolt in half, one half had 2 male sections one half had 2 female sections for them to fit together , tigged them and good to go,, butch searcy showed me ,,,,,
