For those who using one, can you tell me about the click on the turret ( is it solid like PST or Nightforce?). I've bought a SS10x42 with side focus back in 2005 and didn't really like the mushy feel of the windage and elevation. Is the 3-15x42 knobs feel better? Thanks

The clicks on the 3-15x42 aren't as crisp as the PST or Nightforce IMO!!
They are a little on the mushy side not as bad as the Leupold Mk6 M5B2 elevation clicks!!!

On mine the actual click is solid but there is a little play in the turret as well.

Same here. They're not quite as nice as I've had on a compact NXS turret, but they've never effected my shooting or impacted my wallet.

They feel just like the fixed powers. Not NF or SB quality but they are positive and audible. The early fixed powers had very thick o-rings which often made them feel mushy, a #62 from home depot fixes that though. The new fixed powers and the 3-15 I wouldn't describe as mushy though, mine have ever so slight play but not much.

I called swfa this morning and a guy from cs told me that the knobs are always been solid on their SS and are solid like NF and others.. Well I was gonna give SS another try but don't feel like dropping $700 and get a mushy knobs. Been looking for a scope with high mag, side focus, 30mm tube, good looking and solid knobs, decent reticle with an objective no larger than 44mm. Damn March 3-24x42 fits all the criteria but not sure if I want to drop $2300 for a scope to go on CZ455 vpt. Might have to move up to 50mm objective

They are not as nice as the Nightforce turrets or even the Viper PST knobs, but they are still quite serviceable. I'd put them on approximately the same level as the non-locking versions of Bushnell Elite Tactical turrets (such as the ones on the 10x40, 3-12x44, etc.)

I have one and it is solid! But its new and I haven't really put it to work yet.

If you want better feel , spend more $$$$ ? I have no problem with mine , its been up and down to 1000 yds. many times and I use it on my home range out to 700 ,[ which is the distance I have ] , as a test scope , so its been on quite a few gun's , cause I like to shoot .

I never said that its not a decent scope, just hate the knobs on the old model, that's why I posted the question here to get answer from the experts and owners of the new 3-15x42

Did you read my post regarding the o-rings in the early ones? That's why they felt mushy, the o-ring. The new ones use a different one and are not mushy at all. Nice positive clicks.

The clicks on the old Super Snipers like you had did suck (I also had one). I just recently got one of the new 10x and the clicks are vastly improved and nice. They aren't great like a Nightforce but they work just fine.

yeah I did and thanks for the tip. Been working at Home Depot for about 15yrs now lol, gonna make my way over plumbing to check out the o ring. You make me feel a little better about SS, might have to give the SS another shot.

Thanks good to know

They aren't terrible, but I do prefer the feel of the PST over the SS.
