Hey guys I wanted to say that I ordered my first Gas gun and its been over a year of research and reading this forum daily and soaking up all the great info from all of you. This will be for hunting Hogs, Axis Deer and Mouflon sheep we have hear in Hawaii. We have elevations from sea level all the wayup to 10,000 ft so I went with a short compact precision light package in a 308.

I would like some info on chamber specs and neck size of the chamber.I did email Mel for info today but will also ask it here. Its a 10 twist but i will be using no heavier then 150 gr bullets. Its what JP has in there 308 so I will have to do what I can for the best accuracy in this twist. I went with a 16'' because I want to keep the weight down as much as possible.

What are you guys running in powders and light bullets for this short barrel and does JP throat there chambers short so there is not too much jump to the lands. Totally different ballgame to my precision Bolt guns and I only hand load and will not be using factory loads. I do understand the difference I will be loading for a gas gun and would like to hear from you guys that are using lighter bullets.Im looking forward to this new rifle and what I can squeeze out of it for the most accuracy.

Here is a spec sheet of my order

Big grats to you too...ordered mine last friday...gonna be a long wait but ohh so worth it.

You are going to love it, and the best part is if anything does break or go wrong JP has the best customer service in the business. As far as accuracy goes my LRP likes 168gr and 175gr bullets but still does very good with the 155gr, to get maximum accuracy you will probably have to do it yourself in order to fine tune it to you're rifle. Heavier bullets have more range but not much difference up close as far as accuracy.

Thanks Jevan...Im looking forward to it and will only handload. Im a little concerned that the specs JP uses for there reamer will leave a long jump if I want to use some lighter 150 and below bullets but also understand why they do it. Totally different game to my precision bolt guns but I love the challenge to see what I can ring out of it. Any feedback will be welcomed. I have a lot of varget I will be using,

I don't know, man. JP's bite balls, not very accurate. Roughly finished garbage. I've heard they have the ghey, too.

You better demand your money back. Shady bunch, for sure. Glad we saved you...

Hahahaha...yup!! I'm glad I made the right choice too.

I wish suppressor's were legal here. Our state legislators should pull there head out of there asses and realize the benifits of them and not be so ignorant. I would buy a tax stamp in a heartbeat!!
