I have a Mk 12 Mod 0 clone that I'm working on and have some money burning a hole in my pocket that I can have sitting idle for the next 10 - 12 months.
Are there any OPS Inc. 12th models 5.56 / 22 Cal. putting a gravity clamp on a dealer's shelf ?

I saw that ADCO stocks Allen Engineering cans now instead of O/I. I saw that there was a prior connection between O/I & Allen, how do the Allen cans compare ?

Ask Kevin at High Caliber Sales. I got mine from him in August 2013. It will be in NFA jail until July or August though.

From what I have read stated by ADCO and Allen, OPS is on the brink of being no more. ADCO hasn't received any OPS units in a long time. They have discontinued them. Allen, who built the cans for OPS, is building them for himself now. Almost exactly the same , save for the lack of knurling on the outside. Allen is where the OPS cans came from and where the AE cans come from. I also read that the patents or whatever had run out on the OPS units, so AE is using the same or very similar design. I have not handled an AE can, but I have owned a 12th model since 06. If I were to get another 556 can, I would go AE. As i am looking at 7.62 now, it's a toss up between AE and a GA RSTA.

This is knowledge gained from ADCO's own words, Allen's own words and some personal experience. Take it as such. Hope it helps some.

If you find a Ops 12th at a dealer, it will have been sitting there for a long time. I don't think dealers have seen cans from OPS over the last 12 months or so.

Ron Allen is a great guy and his cans are top notch. ADCO is probably his biggest dealer out there. I have also ordered some from Ron to stock in my shop. I have yet to hear a better .223 suppressor than the OPS 12th or the AEM5.

I just ordered my can for my HCS mk12 mod 1 two weeks ago.

Ron is a great guy, ops inc has fallen down a rough path since the owner died several years ago.

Ron did everything for ops inc as he was the builder ops subcontracted to. He did the machining, he did the warranty work if there needed to be any and he did 95% of the customer service too.

I can't wait for my aem5 to atleast get to my SOT so I can see his work myself.

Ops inc's facebook page just recently had a post about how adco is run by a "bunch of snakes" ... I assume this came from someone at ops realizing adco quit carrying ops inc cans and is now carrying AE cans instead. At 75% the cost mind you.

I asked them that on their post and was promptly muted and my comment was deleted.

Moral of the story? Ron deserves your money. Same can. Same specs minus outer knurling and cheaper to boot.

    Ops is dead.

I absolutely agree with the above comment by Rinky.

I have loved my OPS 12th Model suppressor. I am looking forward to getting a batch of AEM5 suppressors for my customers.

These are some of the best value in suppressors that you can get. The AEM5 / OPS 12th is the best performing .223 suppressor that I have heard yet. I have had a bunch of guys that own suppressors come up and ask if I was shooting a suppressed .22. when using this suppressor.

what i heard was OPs Inc decided to go with a sole distributor, and that sole distributor is Tactical Rifles .net

I own a 12th 556 and a 12th 30 cal, fucking awsome cans! Ive spoken with ron more than a few times on the phone and he has always been awsome to chat with, he has cut me some custom collars for wonkee wierd dimension barrels and never batted an eye. Oh, and I bought a 375 CT from him a couple weeks ago, solid guy. As others have said einhorn is finkle, finkle is einhorn! same cans different name on the side, same great builder.

This post is accurate. OPS INC has not shipped any product in a long time, and has not made any public(or private)statement regarding their status or intention to fill outstanding orders(of which there are many).

As has been said, Ron's products are excellent, as is his service. He has a solid business plan focused on always maintaining inventory, so when you see his product in stock, that means its ready to submit the Form 3 to your dealer. aesuppressors com is his site, and new announcements are made on his Facebook page.

Allen Engineering. The one with the black circle and AE in grey letters. Not the cement company ;)

Found it. Thank you. Searching on the phone is a pain. I had already searched that but I needed to ask for more results... after they only gave me 2 results to begin with...
