Hi guys, I wanted to throw up a review of my 100% ISPC target from JC steel. After hiking up to a local peak I finally got a shot off at this heavy duty AR500 target with my 6.5 Creedmoor.

(My truck can be seen in the distance at about 350 yards).

Rifle is a Savage Model 12 LRP with a 26" barrel shooting 140gr Amax @ 2800fps. Temps were about 50-60F and I was getting good low standard deviations on my loads while doing some accuracy testing only an hour before.

Target it too small to be seen in this picture, but its right infront of the first hill.

First shot was low on the target, a couple clicks on the elevation turret and I was punching the center.

This target also has a hostage flapper, but unfortunately I couldn't see it through my SWFA 10X scope. The scope just doesn't have the resolution to discern the 5" of steel poking out the side at 900 yards. I think its time for a new scope now.

Big thanks to Jake at JC steel for this chunk of AR500!

Who makes that shooting mat? Nice rifle, shooting and pics!!! I have something coming from JC right now. He has some very good stuff!!!

I am Envious of your awesome weather and boundless area to shoot! Dammit..

Great pics, makes me want to go out right now. Sadly this morming it was -13F here
in Wisconsin, with a balmy high temp of 6. :)

We also have shot my JC Steel at 900 & 1060yds , and everywhere in between,
with a multitude of differentguns. 308/ 6.5 Creed/ 260/ 300Win/ 338LP.

I too can attest to how well Jake's steel performance and durability.
Currently I have a pair of full scale size human torsos inbound, can't wait to
set those up also.

Happy shooting!

Burr now that's cold. For what its worth, I don't shoot in the summer months because the temps are 100-120F. So our shooting seasons are reversed. I only went out once last summer before it got real hot. It was 105F and I sweated buckets the whole time. Plus shooting prone feels even hotter and you can't see much through the scope due to the terrestrial radiation.

Nice shooting and a good looking rig. We (a buddy and I) were desperate yesterday and we decided to shoot in spite of the weather. It was 6-8 degrees F with a wind chill of -20 give or take. Wind was 20 mph at 1-2 o'clock. I enjoyed your pics and envy the weather and temps! We are at 852' MSL and needed 8.5 mils with .260's shooting at 925 yards. Just curious, what was your come up at 900?

How did you attach it to the stake? I've got some 45% IPSC steel and haven't figured out a way...I've got some of those same engineer stake thingy's too. Good lookin' place to shoot!

I think JC has some cool new T-post hangars for sale.

I got some 45% ipsc from JC Steel. I took some 1-1/4" I.D. square tubing and cut into pieces about 4" long cut at a 45* angle on one end. Then drilled a hole ,the size of the one's in the target, in the long point and bolted it to the target. I then trimmed the (engineer thingy's) down just enough that the target bracket would slip over but not spin on impacts. Easy to make and they work fine for me but then I'm not the best shot so maybe that's why!

We have some T Post brackets in stock. Really effective and cheap.

The 6 inch bracket fits our 45% ipsc targets. They are $18 each.

Nice shooting and great pictures. The southwest desert is great except for mid summer, but I'll take the heat all day long over COLD!
